Sasquatch: Out of the Shadows With Dr. Jeff Meldrum

This week’s guest is Dr. Jeffrey Meldrum, a professor of Anatomy and Anthropology at Idaho State University. As an expert in foot morphology and primate locomotion, Dr. Meldrum is well known for his research in the field of Sasquatch, one of the few academics to give the subject a serious examination.

From Joe Rogan to the Discovery Channel, Dr. Meldrum has been featured on dozens of documentaries and TV shows on the subject, in addition to literary works and speaking about it across the world at a variety of conferences.

      I was a big fan of his until he started blasting Melba Ketchum concerning her DNA study, she put a great deal of work into that, the tremendous effort, financial burden, not to mention it ruining her career, but yet she created this hoax to chance all this, hardly…… And I just recently found out that Dave paulides was a very intricate important part of this study, and he decided to bail out at the last minute because he saw what was coming, and he feels terrible about the outcome as well, I never thought that I would see Jeff meldrum jump on the bandwagon, what a shame

        Ketchum has scientific facts to back up her claim. Meldrum does not. Why would the government cover up an undiscovered primate, and why wouldn’t a primatologist have not made the discovery by now? It makes no sense.

    Wow, this was wonderful. I am going to listen a few times more. It felt like I was just sitting and listening to a really cool conversation between two relaxed and intelligent gentlemen. I have been perusing channels on this topic I don’t normally listen to but, often can’t get past the blaring intro music. Usually can only make it 30 seconds in… Making homemade pizza while listening ❤️

    Does anyone on the forums here watch Steve on howtohunt? I liked his stuff but one of his most recent videos “Sasquatch, is the largest lie being taken to graves?” He claims people specifically like Bob Gimlin and Professor Meldrum are in fact liars and bad people. This absolutely breaks my heart someone with a following would make such claims about these people that he hasnt personally met simply from hear say from his fans and is now spreading it. Thoughts anyone?

      What if he is correct. What if we just don’t want to accept that there has been intentional deception and some good guys so-called , haven’t been so good or forthcoming? He lives out in the wilderness 24/7. Most people just visit. Who stands to gain from all of this? Steve sure doesn’t

        I can’t quit laughing at your response for we know a ‘real’ man slanders a deceased man and then attacks a 90 year old man.
        Where is this video? The proof he says he has seen?

        To me the claim Bob killed a sasquatch ans they have hidden film of the main one digging tbe body up with tools (I think he claimed it was a baby) makes no sense. After listening to so many encounters from Wes these things are highly territorial, a mother of any animal wouldnt calmly walk away from you while you get off your horse to film after killing its baby. Surely if these claims were true we’d see the common behavior of high aggression directed at Bob and Patterson. They wouldnt calmly walk away while they get their cameras ready. To me the claim they killed one makes no sense having looked at the Patterson footage

    Steve is putting the crosshairs on target. The community is about to face the storm if these are primitive humans and there has been a cover-up, then it must be brought out who has misled honest researchers. The first time he said if these things were just animals he would have one over his fireplace mantle, a light bulb went off in my head. He is right. They are a form of human/ people/ man. There has been murder committed it seems.

    MK Davis came out with his Bluff Creek conspiracy well over a year ago. Sounds like Steve may have the same insider providing him the same guarded information regarding the incident. These people that he calls out certainly have an opportunity to respond. I’m disappointed thinking that Bob Gimlin may not be telling the entire truth. He said this might get ugly as he starts to name names. All I know is that if I trust anyone with vetting sources and getting to the bottom of things it is Steve Isdahl and Dave Paulides for sure.

      This is purely my thoughts on why I dont think Bob is hiding anything. We’ve all listened to a lot of Wes’ interviews on here, and a lot of these encounters people have speak about how territorial Sasquatch are and the accounts where people shoot them (or decide against shooting them) they comment on how they don’t have enough ammo to take one down or how hard ir would be. Steve says his informant claims Bob killed a Sasquatch and this “hidden footage” shows the mother using tools to dig up the body. I think if that were the case, they would have been highly aggressive towards Patterson and Bob, not allowing them time to get off their horses, persue and film the Sasquatch they did film. And I doubt the guns they may have had on them back then would never be enough to take one of these down especially with others in the area that would have surely become incredibly hostile. The other point is there is a lot of people behind the scenes that want to discredit those that gain support on this topic. Who says this mystery person isn’t playing Steve as a fool and using him to discredit people like Bob? This is all just my thoughts but to me the claims Bob killed a Sasquatch then casually stood around and filmed another one makes no sense to me after listening to so many encounters

    Actually M K Davis put out this theory a number of years ago and it really did not go anywhere, because it does not deserve to go anywhere. Now it is getting resurrected I guess. The mistake Roger Patterson made was using up so much of his film on filming their trip which was 3 weeks, and only having 29 seconds left, but it was a great 29 seconds. M K has always seen a lot of pareidolia that I and most people can not see. If there is lost film that someone has, then it would have been out years ago and not conveniently hidden. Is this another type of Bob Heronimous fakery? Most likely. Bob and Roger were alone and as the store owner in Willow Creek has stated. A few days later Bob Titmus ( a taxidermist and expert tracker ) came to the site to view analyze the tracks as Roger and Bob laid tree bark on the tracks to preserve them from rain. The only trackway he found was Patty’s. My question to Steve a couple weeks back that I posted was how could this even happen, that some group came in and shot up a whole family of Sasquatches. Believe me, had this happened they would have brought a body back in and become an instant millionaire, something Roger Patterson thought just this footage he got, would make him one.

      Personally this claim makes no credible sense (the M K Davis claim) and it’s a shame that someone who wants to know the “truth” (Steve) wouldn’t sit down and have a conversation with Bob before spouting second hand hear say all because Steve believes he has special information from people who claim to have seen this footage. Steve hasnt even seen this footage just trusting some random person and while doing that discrediting and slandering the reputation of Bob. I dont think Bob did what Steve claims but even if he did, go talk to the man yourself before spreading toxic second hand information. Such a shame and people are just buying it up in his comments and not questioning anything with critical thinking.
