A listener writes “Hi there my name is (removed), I live in Scottsdale Arizona and my next door neighbor very beautiful girl mid 20s works for Fender guitar marketing told my this story of a time were she encountered a Sasquatch in flagstaff on a off road trail with her mother she stated to me that she smelled something really awful in the wind she had the windows down and told her mom “eww what is smell?” And the she look in front of her and she said she saw what she believes to be a Sasquatch. Now I would of called BS but as she was telling me this story she was getting very nervous in her tone and facial expressions and she has never told me a lie. And I believe her 100 % I told her to take me back to where this happened and she said hell nooo! So I don’t know what she saw but it freaked her out something awful.
Also when I was young my grandfather had a cabin out in the forest near the las padres national forest. I would go up there as a kid to have sleep overs with friends. One night someone or something was throwing huge rocks at the cabin and it broke our mail box and BBQ on the porch whoever it was. We thought it might of been a bear so I grabbed my grandfathers Ar15 and racked a round it was pretty loud when I chambered it and when I went out to see if there was anything out there it was gone! Needless to say we didn’t sleep that night.”

IF these things can hang here they can hang anywhere. Very sparse but there are caves, coyotes, javelina and dammed water sources. Combined with forest fires yearly up north- maybe.

I was referring to the Gila Bend encounter. Flagstaff- I would be surprised if they weren’t there. Humphrey’s Peak is almost 13000 ft

Damn, to think that I used to go camping in the Kaibab National Forest in Northern Arizona before I got into these BF experiences. I remember being out there seeing things move in the dark and I was unarmed, what a fool. Thank God there are hundreds of deer and elk out there to keep them away from unarmed fools like I use to be….

There are credible reports from all over AZ. Williams, the Mogollon rim, pine butte, the Kaibab, Happy Jack and more. I have encountered black bear in the lower desert in june, so another large omnivore is plausible. Early mountain men warned not to travel along the Gila river because of grizzly bears living there. What 4×4 trail near Flagstaff? There is no permenant water up on Humphreys peak, more wildlife down in the forests and canyons surrounding.

I lived near there one summer in Page, AZ. That area near Flagstaff is high desert. Navajo and Zuni live on Res there. It would be interesting to hear if they had seen a Sqatch there.

I can say from personal experience her story is very likely true. I live in AZ and I have had several encounters south and north of Flag. Not looking for them, they just seem to show up and like it has been said on here careful what you wish for.
