Sasquatch Chronicles

I have been working on a new intro for the show and Rictor Riolo was kind of enough to make a video out of it. Check it out.

    Looks and sounds great Wes.

Love that you’ve used Winston’s clip too. His account was very compelling to me which is why I sent him your way… mind you almost every guest you get on comes across as very compelling which is why I love your show… you certainly do have the number 1 Bigfoot podcast on the web. ?

Listening to it teaches you more about these animals than any amount of online research. ?

Great new introduction and thanks for all the hard work. That British lady and the guy from the deer blind tie the show together nicely. The camp mug for coffee is it the ceramic over metal construction?

Sounds great Wes. I just have to remember not to ‘call blast’ the whoops when I listen while camping. Also wanted to say the flasks are great. I got one for me and a friend. Perfect for the Sasquatch Chronicles drinking game. Lol.

Okay, last comment! Third time watching I cried, I could feel the shock and fear in their voices. Reliving my encounter…though mine wasn’t as intense as theirs, it still changes your life.

    • Jason D

The shock and fear in the voices is how to tell the true encounters from the false ones.

Example: “I got a flat tire across the street from a farm… watched a Sasquatch reach into a chicken coop and grab five chickens then scoop up a hog and run across the street with it. A year later I was walking down a pathway in Montana and one walked across the path 20 feet in front of me, it looked at me and walked on and then in another state at my university my professor let me address 800 of my classmates about my research (anyone who has been to college knows organizing something of this magnitude is near impossible) and …”

Authenticity is everything in life, especially with this topic. Wes, way to authentically lead from the front!
      ✊⚡️??

Oh boy! Oh boy! OH BOY ! That looks great! Where can I sign up?… oh wait… I’m already a member!! Someday, I’ll be able to say “ I listened to Wes well before he was famous” … I was that close to cool!

    Nice work! You’re the tops!

  6. LaVonne J

Wow! Those visuals are incredible and I remember the British lady’s encounter was told with such emotion. The new intro takes your show to the next level; very professional. Great vision guys….I ❤ it!

Hey Wes, I didn’t like the new intro the first time I heard it, it is better with this video though l, but like you said “it’s missing something” as a straight audio file. But then again I hated that you removed the original countdown too, so what do I know, maybe I just don’t like change. Lol

  8. Andrew S

Good. IMO original intro is best. Not only authentic witness statements like this new one, but also a sense of urgency with the background music and all. Keep up the good work.

Sasquatch Chronicles

I am working on some great shows for next week and I hope everyone has a great week. I made this video for social media to promote the site and thought I would share it here as well.

Well done! I liked your choice of music. The right music is very important, especially in a short piece like this. I lended my “eyes and ears” to a short infomercial my son did recently. I enjoyed the process and was proud when he incorporated a couple of my ideas to the product. Keep up the great work!

One thing I have notice in promos and commercials is whether or not the targeted audience would care to watch the promo/commercial over and over without getting bored by what’s been produced, to get their targeted audience’s business. Will they enjoy watching it the 10th time as they did the 1st time. Then of course, will they try the product cause of the promo/commercial. Not that my two cents matters but I truly like what you have done here, Wes. As mention before, great choice in music. Well chosen script(words), simple, to the point and I enjoyed its presentation. The talent in your promo/commercial was a perfect choice. Even without the script and music, the talent grabs your attention, in a scary but “got to see it again” way. Now put everything together, Wes, the script, music, talent and you have yourself a winner here! You have really done a fine job! I could definitely keep watching it over and over. You get your point across very well with your choice of content. It really looks professionally done. Well done! (My $.02)

Wes, hope I didn’t ramble to much. I wrote my two cents around 4am and was a very tired guy but I think you get the points I was trying to make. At least I hope I did! lol Best of luck with your project.

Love it, Wes. Awesome job. (I always liked the music of U2 as well – great choice) 🙂 If i could give stars or thumbs it’d be 5 of them.

“Careful what you wish for…you just might get it.”

    and…

Once you “get it” you may well have “had it”. 😉

  5. Avis B

Wow, Wes that was great i could watch that over and over.. What a great job of putting that together.. All i can say is you have the Magic Touch…. All i can say is … You keep being you…

  6. Tamsin D

    What a great idea!
……and because I’m the only one who has never been on any social media, it was a treat to see it.
Sashquatch Chronicles is the only podcast I subscribe to.
Been with you from the start.
    Thank you ??

(New Jersey) Well, there’s always one in the crowd. Although I like the graphics, I’m not thrilled with the background music. I would have preferred some sort of intense, terror like background music- more fitting of the subject at hand. As an example, I really like the background music of Todd Standing’s “Discovering Bigfoot” trailer. Of course, I still love Wes and everything about Sasquatch Chronicles!!

    • Wolf

      Make that two, Glen.
IMO the music clashes badly with the imagery and does not fit with the ‘mood’ Wes so excellently portrays with his podcast intro.
Wes, are you trying to attract a younger, newer audience?

Re the two different intros used over the life of the show… Although I do like the newer intro, whenever I listen to the older one the mood is much stronger and builds more tension…. for what my opinion is worth…. ?

    • JAMES B

      Wes
I love the trailer. Well done and great visuals. But I hate to mention the music,….. he’s right about the music not matching the intensity of your creation in the chronicles. In addition, every time I hear that song I am reminded of the “CW’s series SMALLVILLE”, which used it exclusively over the years it ran on the network. I might suggest something original, like a partial soundtrack that evokes a sense of foreboding like they use in horror movie soundtracks. I have a friend who makes the background music for, of all things, porno movies, among other types of media like commercials. There are many musical people out there that do just this kind of work for many different types of media and it would be exclusive to you and SASQUATCH chronicles.
I love the show and will always be a devoted listener.

I like it! The music is a perfect match for the dashing, headlong flee and chase of the white Sasquatch. This sighting is fantastic and clear…yet only one second full-on face-to-face then fly fly fly! I love it. Good choice, Wes. This is real and especially astounding because of the white color. Also applaud the color and font for title. Good hook to catch new audience.

  9. Diana M

As an older person who seldom recognizes the background music (and frequently finds it annoying) I must say that the one thing that really stood out to me was the music. I really did enjoy it and thought it did fit the overall feel that I personally get from the site. I find Sasquatch Chronicles has an air of exploration, contemplation, and healing for the people brave enough to share their experiences. Many encounters are truly terrorizing. But for me the site is not about the terror. For me it is about trying to learn what there is available to learn about these creatures by listening to the people (and Wes, of course) and I felt the music captured that. Just my feelings on the subject.
