Rest In Peace Ray Crowe

I got the news yesterday that Ray Crowe passed away. I did not know the man personally but I can respect anyone who takes the time to look into this subject with as much heart as he did. Ray Crowe was the founder of the Western Bigfoot Society in Oregon. Ray held monthly meetings in the basement of his bookstore in Hillsboro, Oregon and from that grew an immense commitment to bigfoot and other crypto topics.

nabigfootsearch.com writes “Ray was the perfect man to develop a newsletter that catered to everyone’s interest with specific emphasis on sasquatch/bigfoot.

The newsletter slowly grew in popularity and in quality as Ray’s name floated throughout North America and eventually the world. He covered Almasti, Yeti, Yeren, Abominable Snowman and every other unusual biped that walked the Earth. Ray was the type of person who was approachable and liked talking to people. He made several expeditions throughout the western United States in search of the biped and made many great contacts.

The “Track Record” newsletter was published every month for 17 years, over 3000 pages. Ray retired almost two years ago and NABS purchased all of his research and the rights to his writings. We methodically went through every page of the Track Record and developed an 80 page WORD document that is the index for all 3000 pages. There is nothing like this for crypto research, nothing. This is all placed on a CD that is PC and MAC compatible.

Here is an example of some of the data contained in the newsletters, the entire article is on the page noted;
Track Record 91 Page 5, Big Hairy Indian Swims up to Boat
91              6, Smoke Jumpers See a bigfoot
93            16, Two types of bigfoot creatures in Laos
99            12, Some bigfoot live underground
99            18, Eight foot tall body found in Washington
140          17, Cannibal Monster of Canadian Forests

This is a very, very small sampling of the enormous amount of data that Ray documented in the Track Record.”

    I have 5o disagree with being able to shave a bf and put a suit on him and have him be able to fit into society. Lol. I’m not berating him I just found that to be funny. Picturing that in my mind it was just funny to me.

    R.I.P. brother Crowe,it is truly a loss when one of our own leaves us behind to carry the torch of wisdom that we all share,this man had dedicated his life to the subject and when it boils down to it ,each and every one of these senior researchers is a sort of super hero in my eyes,to me these pioneers were the bravest of souls,sitting out on cold rainy nights nervously hoping for some sort of sign that a creature is around,taking loads of crap from folks who want to poke fun at you like you are some kind of nerdy sci-fi geek who lives in the land of make believe (AKA)fluteplayers,I mean these fine men had dedicated themselves to a subject that is probably the most discouraging subject to ever find yourself in and yet they never gave up! it is these qualities that make me really have a such deep respect for them and he will be missed dearly R.I.P. Squatch Brother!

    I enjoyed hearing this conversation. I am sorry to hear about his death. My condolences to his family.
    My husband and I found foot prints on a game trail we came upon in Estacada in 1986 or 1987 along with other things while on a hike but at that time we did not know about big foot. it just knew things were out of place then I began to feel very uncomfortable while on this hike and told my husband we needed to leave because I felt uncomfortable. I had forgotten all about it until about a year ago after we had watched that big foot show for the 50th time then I recalled that hike. I have thought about trying to find that game trail again but I don’t own a fire arm and would no way go alone or just with my husband again. I really think there are big foot in the Estacada area.
