A listener writes “Hi Wes, I just wanted to thank you for your recent episode 1243. it’s been on my mind ever since I heard it. I’ve never knowingly seen a Bigfoot, but I have experienced a few things I can’t explain.
One moment in particular happened about 4–5 years ago while I was out on a run with my daughter. We live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, not Canada, but as you know, the Blue Ridge Mountains are full of both beauty and mystery. What really stood out to me in that episode was John’s description of a creature that looked like an African lion but wasn’t. What he described is exactly what my daughter and I saw that day.
At the time, my daughter was only 11 or 12, and I tried to reassure both of us by saying it must have been a bobcat. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t. My husband is a hunter, and we even have two bobcats mounted in our living room what we saw looked nothing like them. I’m absolutely certain of that.
For years, I’ve gone over that experience in my mind, trying to come up with a reasonable explanation and convincing myself it was nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve searched online, hoping to find something similar, but never found anything that matched until now.
Hearing John describe the same thing was incredibly validating. It made me feel like what I saw was real, and not just something I imagined or misunderstood. So thank you for sharing his story.”

What a coincidence. Looking for years for some valadation, and out of the blue comes John’s great experience to validate what you witnessed. I would hope you would make an appearance with Wes about you and your daughters sighting.
