I took away it is best to be thinking of relying on yourself at all times even before this scenario played out. You are alone, tell loved ones where you are going when to expect you back, they are instructed to notify search and rescue at a designated time if your loved one does not hear from you. A locater beacon, and not use your phone for anything else especially to.listen to books.Save battery.
