WCJB writes “OCALA NATIONAL FOREST, Fla. — He’s described as tall, dark, and hairy, but his signature mark is leaving behind a big foot print. Some claim that signs of Bigfoot have been found in the Ocala National Forest.
Legend has it he can be up to 10 feet tall, he’s super strong and many Floridians believe he roams part of the Ocala National Forest.
Bigfoot, Sasquatch or whatever you call it, is associated with the Pacific Northwest, but perhaps Bigfoot is a snowbird who winters in the Ocala National Forest.
Members of the Ocala Bigfoot Research Center are concerned with being harassed, so they only go by their first names.
Charlie claims he found a set of Bigfoot prints in the forest.
“As you hear it’s a noisy place but in these areas that were remote where we found these prints, it wasn’t the woods that I know, it was completely silent, you didn’t hear any animals any wild life nothing,” he said.
And he’s not alone.
Citra Resident Walter said he came in contact with the creature during a nature hike.
“As soon as I went up into the woods there was a knock three times and then I heard a grunt. I tried to go a little bit further up into the woods and it knocked three times again and it grunted three times at me and I started to go back and that’s when I saw something out of the corner of my eye kind of stopped behind a tree and I was like well it’s a bear I’m out of here and I would walk real fast and I could here it following me out of the woods,” Walter said.”
