Ocala Howl?

A listener writes “We moved into this house just outside of Ocala,Fl in Aug. i have have heard these Moans/howls occasionally from the back yard but mostly accompanied by dog barks. This morning I stepped out to go to work at 6am and heard it off in the distance and was able to get a snapchat vid of it.

I had heard the rooster first and was trying to get vid of that then heard the howl in the back ground.

There is a ton of Horse pasture land and forest around our new development and areas of “greenspace” set aside to never be developed. If I’m facing out the door like in the video the sound off in the distance is coming from the south. We have many black bear around the area. Tall pines and oak forests with palmetto undergrowth. Ill attach the video and some photos of location. Maybe you can verify the distant howl or clean the audio a bit.”

Very long mournful type howl, which could be a rendition of the Ohio Howl, of which I have heard in the Huron National Forest of Michigan. I would encourage this listener to get a parabolic microphone to aid in collecting much better sound. They are not that expensive. No doubt the Sasquatch are around that expanse of the Ocala National Forest.
