Not sure what type of animal it was

Officials say that deputy swerved suddenly to miss a large black animal, running on the highway.

“We’re not really sure what type of animal it was,” said Lea. “Based on the description we believe it to possibly be a large bear.”

The deputy’s patrol car rolled over into the embankment. Deputies say the animal got away. About an hour and a half before the crash, driver Trish Newsom says she too had a close call.

    I’ve heard of a wolf-like creature running on all fours after cars and hitting them, are they hunting for what’s in the car? All I know is that there suppost to be very big…

    If anyone knows of more witnesses that saw it and can give a clear description I hope they can post it here. It does not sound like a bear to me. To me a bear may have got side tracked once and entered the highway, but several times – I just do not know. If someone can put this running on two legs, well we here would know what it was.

    I was just in this same area earlier today. This is a very mountainous area not far from Chattanooga TN. There have been reports in this region for years about Sasquatch’s and to me, it’s just another media attempt to sway the story away from the truth.

    I guess He is lucky He didn’t end up as “bear chow” after he flipped his cruiser 😮

    HELLo, There it is again the same old story about a bear.. I seen a black bear in the wild once and it didn’t act like it did in this story. The other part of this is wouldn’t life be easier on everyone if they would just admit it,was a sasquatch. Then again there is the denial factor. Bob
