New Law Of Physics We Live In A Simulated Universe

The second law of infodynamics seems to add credence to the idea that the world we live in isn’t actually real. The idea that mankind could be living in a computer simulation was explored at length in the Wachowskis’ science-fiction favorite ‘The Matrix’, but just how plausible is this concept?

And if we really are living in a simulated reality, how would we ever prove that this is the case?

Melvin Vopson, an associate professor of physics at the University of Portsmouth who proposes that evidence of simulated reality theory could potentially be found in the laws of physics that govern information (such as genetic information in DNA or digital information stored on a computer).

Last year, Vopson, alongside his colleague Serban Lepadatu, proposed a new law of physics known as the second law of infodynamics which, when applied to a range of different information systems, “provides scientific evidence that appears to underpin the simulated universe hypothesis.”

“It is truly remarkable that [the second law of infodynamics] is applicable / valid for so many systems and so diverse to each other, and the extrapolation to universality is rather safe,” he said.

“The evidence is there and it needs no proof. However, to categorically state that we live in a simulation, based only on this study, is not sufficient.”

“My hope is that this work will stimulate more research and very smart scientists will come up with new ways to prove or disprove it.”

People have reported having experiences that seemed more dimensional, sometimes otherworldly and more real than the reality we commonly know of… I had one experience like this myself with my eyes closed and not dreaming… it was very shocking.

IMO I believe life in this reality or realm may not seem as real as what may lay ahead after our journey here is done, but I also think our actions here have real world effects in not just this life in the here and now but determines the outcome of where we go next and what we may then newly experience.

Thousands of years of belief and testimony in an afterlife say to me there’s something to it. There’s that word “belief” again…

There are people, even in the upper echelons of society that are hell bent on proving that they are better and smarter than others that came before themselves, and also better than you. Sadly, I believed they have been misled by dark visions or temptations of fame, power and control, (and they probably don’t even realize it).

You have to be very careful who you listen to especially when they have underpinnings to try to disprove God. Don’t let them drag you with.

You will come across many things in life where sometimes you have to stop and ask yourself “Am I being agreeable to this so I can feel less guilty or be more sinful?”. Be aware of your intentions.

Darkness will always tempt with Earthy pleasures because this realm may be the most crucial stage and a time we are very vulnerable. It’s likely that people aren’t fully aware of what they may be giving up or what they may be subjected to when they’re time here is done.

Some people could use their intelligence to make a positive difference in humanity, but yet they waste their time, they try to waste the time of others, all trying to prove something they never will with new science techniques by way of computers and artificial intelligence they may be our undoing in the end… And all in the pursuit of NOT happiness but the pursuit of more accolades for themselves.

I know what evil smells like, and this “science” stinks, IMO.

Well, several comments attributed to Jesus Christ alluded to us living in a stimulated reality. For instance, he mentioned that the very hairs on your head are numbered. One and Zero? Computer code?
He also said, I am the Alpha and the Omega”, again the 1 and the zero. Rev. 21: 1 speaks about a new reality that will come after this one is over. In fact, most Biblical prophecies are more an outline of this augmentation simulated reality. Personally, I do believe we are in a simulated reality. In my life, I have had experiences that make me wonder how and why certain instances were timed so precisely that I had escaped death MANY TIMES.

Depends Dale, “simulated reality” is going to mean different things to different people and how they are relatable, understood or what it means to themselves.

If you’re a numbers guy then you’ll probably keep digging until existence can be broken down into numbers or “ones and zeros”. But if everything we know of is created by God, it simply means God created some of us to discover his math and for certain individuals to better understand certain aspects of life.

If you’re a sci-fi buff, then you might choose to believe something you saw in a movie, where your real body is somewhere else hooked to technology in a comatose state and this reality is more of a dreamlike state… To those people I say “You better wake up!”. God created dreams, for us as well as other certain animals (such as dogs) to be relatable to each other as protectors and companions, for things that could “really” happen in this life.

If you are religious or have faith, you might believe this reality may not ending up feeling as real as other realms (such as Heaven), so you could also say life here is more of a simulated experience versus one a different realm. Maybe so.

As far as I can tell, the religious idea in it’s most enlightened yet basic form is the only one that keeps people humble, positive, kind, helpful and respectful to each other, giving us the thought of something in control, with a purpose and a plan, something much greater than ourselves or anything we can achieve as individuals. God is order, people need order in order to thrive. No order is chaos, the end.

Because you feel like you have escaped death many times, I don’t doubt you, I believe it is so because God has a plan for you as well and maybe you just don’t understand what that is yet… But people change their opinions on things all the time with additional life experiences and events. I’m personally glad you’re still here to comment, question things with time to gain more knowledge.

Life is supposed to be availably comprehended by all the unique attributes and learning abilities that makes people different, and do so in a way where we can always all stay on the same page no matter who we are or where we’re from, embracing what it means to be different but also united… it’s so well thought out that most people could not comprehend it, so instead they get stuck somewhere on an idea in trying to, where they don’t have to deal with reality, with a lesser theory that’s easier for them to swallow without more faith.

Although you may not be a numbers nut or a sci-fi buff, all theories within imagination, math, science or physics can all fall together under one roof, but only with God as the ultimate and final answer to it all… But to understand how and why he does what he does is another thing. A computer or AI could never understand Gods supreme intelligence when technology is only scraping together things that mankind has discovered and put in boxes (which is almost nothing in the grand scheme of things).

I also want to add, not to forget that “one and zero” how you said, were words from a Bible that were said by God first… anything after that including computer language wasn’t invented until hundreds of years later, and at that point makes it only mimicry of the Bible and the English numerical system… Mimicry and mocking is a hallmark sign of evil.

Whoever first decided that ones and zeroes would be the representation as this digital code was likely influenced to do so by something dark in exchange for the fame that went with it. I hate to think where they might have really ended up.
