My brother in law had a photo that I saw in the late 1970s that looked like what Frank Graves was talking about – black bird nailed or mounted to side of a barn and I thought it was taken in West Virginia. It was huge and at least two stories high on the end part of barn with a few men and one woman and some kids standing around it. My brother in law passed away in 2008. His family was from the mountains of W.V. For many generations. His things were destroyed in a storage trailer in Utah years ago. Amazing account of the AES. I enjoyed this very much – thanks for sharing.
