A listener writes “Hello Wes, I am a member and listen weekly. last week I came across these footprints on one of my hikes in northern Nevada.
I found these where I hike weekly and have never seen anything like them. There were no other people tracks around, so I really don’t think anyone was pranking me. I hike about 900 miles annually and have lived in the area for 42 years. Please let me know your thoughts.”

I like what I see, and agree with Avila about a juvenile track and Linda B as it does seem to have that midtarsal break. What part of Nevada did this take place. And more importantly did the tracks go in a relatively straight line? Thanks for sharing with us.

I guarantee you this is a boot print with a deer track that came later going in the same direction, and what looks like two smaller toes is another back part of a deer track going in the opposite direction.
This person is obviously trying to deceive you and probably thinks this topic is a joke. They speak of multiple tracks but only show one track.

I should maybe rephrase about the photos or photographer a little better. I feel like the person who took these couple pictures is probably telling mostly the truth about going hiking in the outdoors often.
They likely took these couple photos of this single odd looking track because they are aware of the Sasquatch phenomenon and more than likely have some subconscious fear of it.
This print was probably a rare and funny thing to find in that moment and worthy of a couple pics… I would have done the same.
I’m not saying that the person who took them is a bad person and they likely sat on these photos for some amount of time before a darker a thought and intention crept in, to then use these to dupe people. They probably thought it was funny.
They likely don’t realize the psychological damage it does to innocent people by giving in to these seemingly harmless dark temptations and how it spreads more fear in something that just started off as a natural oddity in nature.
Part of their actions was most likely a coping mechanism for their own peace of mind because… Who wants to try to enjoy the outdoors with subconscious scary thoughts like that in the back of their mind? They probably thought it better to make lite of it to help dismiss the whole notion of it for their own sanity.
This is how dark or negative energies work my friends, by planting a seed and hoping it grows just enough to start preying upon that one persons weakness, then spread through a more unsavory intention through the convenience of media. This in turn preys upon so many more who can be misguided as well, with even more fear as they are left hanging with no punchline to the pictorial joke.
We should all forgive the person that sent in these couple images because I’m sure he couldn’t conceptualize how this ignorance negatively impacts others on a wider scale… He was tricked or misled just like so many of us are every day… It breaks my heart sometimes, but also makes me more aware and what I’d like to think is wiser and more compassionate as well.
Just to add… If you indeed did discover a trackway for something that leaves so little evidence, you’d take a bazillion photos or video of it, maybe even make a long journey to be able to make casts, show others or make more of an effort in any kind of way to show each unique print… Doesn’t that make sense?
The world is indeed more mysterious and spiritual than many of you may realize, but remain skeptical of things as well. Jumping to conclusions with your own personal fear doesn’t do the rest of humanity any good… You are better, more intelligent and more powerful than you know, and also grow when you stand in the light of truth and righteousness. 🌞🌹You are the roses.

If I had found that one track and decided to share the picture with people I would have told them upfront about the deer trail overlayed on it, (which wouldn’t take away from the significance or intrigue of it at all).
When the Creator allows evil into this realm in any kind of way there’s always a mirrored or brighter side, a sign or a message to it… sometimes as a test or even an obstacle to overcome.
I would have likely and initially seen the track for what it was, and then be grateful and laugh at Gods sense of humor… Then I’d reflect on it for a moment and think “Of course, I’m probably supposed to realize that when man and nature follows the same metaphorical trails we are more powerful, like giants”.
That’s the kind of photo with Gods humor and poetry I’d feel good about sharing… Actually, I guess I just did:)
