You got that right Brian L. Amazing that the Pender County Sheriff would take this interview. Most of this countries Sheriffs would not do so. As near as I can determine, this gentleman had an incident with a Rake. And if so because of the force it put into the truck bed, it also has considerable mass. Interesting that a first he saw a Civil War soldier bleeding. I can find no Civil War Battles that took place in this area. However Pender County is named after William Dorsey Pender who rose to the rank of Major General during the Civil War, Confederate side, and was killed at the Battle of Gettysburg.
