Mysterious Encounters aired from 2003 to 2004. The series featured the now ever-elusive Autumn Williams along with Matt Moneymaker. Each episode also included other guest researchers and witnesses. The Oklahoma Wildman episode is the eleventh of the series.

Very cool. That area is paranormally supercharged if you ask me. During my visit to Homobia last early October , 2021, as I shared in the comment section of a SC episode not too long ago, I had three encounters:
1. either call blasting or calls and an answer which could have been a call blasting reply from a very long distance in the opposite direction,
2. Four very loud knocks (banging consecutively) on our camper in the early morning hours after baiting fruit in a tree that night, which I shouldn’t have done and will never do again,
3. While relaxing in the woods, a female voice in my head like mindspeak, possibly my Cherokee great grandmother, telling me to relax and quit trying so hard in life. It was life changing and my interest in this subject was greatly diminished because I had a peace on me that was unearthly; I no longer wondered what these creatures were.
This entire area in Oklahoma had a certain hush about it that kind of pulls or lures you into the woods. I can’t explain it. It’s like that at Broken Bow Lake, Oklahoma too.

Linda, I’ve hiked and camped in those SE OK areas you mention (though it’s been years), and I agree. There’s just something about those woods that feels different. Not ‘bad’ different, just different somehow.

I wonder if everyone feels that down there or if it’s just us with heart enough to explore and connect with the unexplained mysteries. Love being part of this group of likeminded people. Thanks, Chad.
