Mysteries To Search: Military vet comes forward

Brenton writes “Mike tells a Sasquatch story that is amazing. While in the military he was helping troopers in Kentucky and ran across a troop of Bigfoot. The next thing that happens is unbelievable so you must hear this story.”

Wow. What a story. Brenton seems nice but he isn’t the same caliber of interviewer as our Wes. Every time I listen to other interviews I realize just how good Wes is.
I’m glad this guy told his story. It will help him psychologically, no doubt.
    Thanks for sharing!

I have until now refrained from commenting here on some of the stuff I have heard and read. I think this account of shooting a whole family group of bigfoots is a pretty sick story in my opinion. I do not doubt that this witness told the truth. It is a shame that people kill these creatures out of ignorance and fear. Bigfoots react to us humans based on the way we approach them and also react to their presence – not to mention the fact that we as humans constantly destroy their habitat and take away their food. If the people in this story had backed off and left this group of bigfoots alone, those people would not have been in danger at all. I have been in the woods alone many times and have been harassed by more than one Bigfoot at a time on a number of occasions while I was sitting in the dark without light and without a camp fire. Even though, they were trying to get me to leave, I never felt like my life was at risk. I have also never experienced any real aggressive behavior towards me. On the other hand, unlike most people, I do not freak out when I hear things getting thrown, wood breaking or something walking or running on two feet within close range of my position – or for that matter, when I hear a grunt coming from some bushes less than four yards from where I am standing at my vehicle. Based on what I captured with my thermal a couple of years ago, at least some of them must resemble humans very closely and not at all like any type of ape. I am well aware of their size and I am not naive at all about their capabilities and the fact that they can be extremely violent. I am also not crazy and just made this all up. I have found that my attitude towards them and my approach seems to get me different results when I spend time in their habitat. By the way, I do not bother with carrying a firearm. I am usually more concerned with something like a bear or possibly mountain lion having an interest in me.

Brent irritated me with his constant interruptions. Wes I wish you could interview this person. I usually enjoy listening to Brent and he does have a tendency to interrupt a lot but this time just irritated me. He needs to shut up and listen then give a response but he went on and on a few times. After the guest shared how they were clicking or chattering Brent asked “how did they sound”. It’s like didn’t you hear what the guest said? Ug!! I did feel sad that the military killed this family though. What was the reason ? I agree they could have just backed off. Sad very sad

Sad. Not as criticism to this gentleman but it was the aggressive actions of people that made this almost inevitable. Because other people protecting their illegal activities set up these booby traps the female with the baby became injured and couldn’t run. The family unit of these things had to stay or at least chose to stay and defend “Mom”. Most of us would do the same. Of course because of the aggression shown them from other people they weren’t going to be happy about seeing any person. Again, not blaming this man. If they back out and left this group and then some poor soul out for a nice hike or a little camping runs into them those folks could be in serious danger. Just very sad.

Wow what an amazing story .I have been a Bigfoot Enthusiast for about 15 years ,I have never committed on anything .the Bigfoot Community is way too harsh why stir up any drama don’t need it. Even though I like Brent’s podcast he is definitely not Wes he interrupted this guy way too much and I feel like we missed out on a lot of the story. This guy is a trained military American Badass with no remorse he had orders to fire on a Bigfoot family that’s what they did , that is what they are supposed to do , he is a good soldier. It is really terrible what happened to that family of Bigfoot they didn’t instigate anything they were just fired upon until they were dead. Sometimes the training doesn’t stick in the soldier and they have regret and have remorse and they have guilt ,maybe that’s what happened to his guy in his unit. I definitely don’t blame it on ultrasound that wears off. All in all I think them soldiers for their service they were just following orders. But that son-of-a-b**** that ordered them to fire on that family Bigfoot let’s string him up

I was surprised at all the criticism of Brenton. But I AGREE. Both Brenton and Duke seem to be eating sunflower seeds or spitting dip all the time there and interrupting like they are not even listening.

I also wonder how many people who the gov. has or has caught dealing in matters of bigfoot came down with cancer or w/e. The gentleman seems too young for this. This is heartbreaking.

The witness sounded smart, sane, and kind. He also sounded like a tortured soul. May God’s healing power touch his soul and body, making both whole and well, in Jesus’ name.

Spectacular story. I agree that some podcast hosts do interrupt the guest too much. Wes, it would be super if you could get him on your show. Love the 80s music. Keep it going.

Having a conscience after the event, doesn’t make up for following an order, which as an adult (with a fairly sane mind) and certainly knowing the difference between right and wrong , was giving by a possible psycho !! It wasn’t a war type situation – as Gudrun H suggested backing off would have seen a family surviving a tragic event caused by – humans – by far the most aggressive creature on earth. Somewhere out there was a traumatised, young, defenceless, child/baby alone in the wilderness – who probably died a slow, painful death. The story made me sick to the stomach and sad beyond belief for some magnificent wild creatures that deserve to be left alone in their environment without mans intervention. I have been to Africa many times and have on one occasion sat in an open topped land rover while a heard of 100 or more wild African Elephants have passed the vehicle (a one time completely engulfing the vehicle) many had very young babies but because of an excellent African guide, who grew up in that area, we had a peaceful and amazing encounter. I will also add that the elephants in that particular area in Zambia had been poached mercilessly ( elephants never forget) but they knew we meant them no harm even though they could have turned that vehicle over and trampled us to death. I hear similarities all the time on the this show to watching dangerous wild game at close quarters – man needs to learn tolerance firstly of one another and secondly of creatures that have a right to live a free and contented life. Wes I love your shows and have listened from the very beginning. But some people on your show seems to get ‘hard ones’ from talking about different weapons and how much flesh destroying damage they can do.

I would prefer this man doesn’t come on your show Wes. Not blaming him, but what they did as a unit is disgusting. I really don’t want to hear this story again. It was senseless.
