It would be great if Wes could get former Yellowstone Director Robert Jackson on SC to discuss his encounter. In interviews and the way he managed Yellowstone, he appears to be a honest, tell you openly what he thinks kind of guy, that is opposite of most NP, Fish and Wildlife, Conservation leaders and also employees.

Yes Jay, Bob Action Jackson was quite the man and the most decorated ranger in park history, and would certainly make for a great interview, and not just for his Bigfoot experiences ( I heard one short interview with him at least 10 years ago ). The grizzly bears, poachers, and outlaw outfitters were by far the great threat for him and his exploits with them are legendary. After his ranger days he went back to running his family bison ranch, Tall Grass Bison near Promise City, IA. Here is an interview, non Bigfoot, but one can get a great sense of how his life went during his Ranger tenure.

Thank you Charles. I’ll check out. You have to really respect Rangers like him that buck the authority to make the right calls. I don’t want this to be a political statement, but know he butted heads with VP Cheney over an outfitter that placed salt licks just outside Yellowstone and would then go into the Park for the kill if necessary. There’s a new book out called “Yellowstone: Myth and Legends” that I just bought that he may have contributed, that looks to be good read.
