Albert Ostman was a Canadian prospector who reported that he was abducted by a Sasquatch and held captive for six days. He stated that the event took place near Toba Inlet, British Columbia in 1924. On August 20, 1957, police magistrate A.M. Naismith wrote an affidavit which states “…I found Mr. Ostman to be a man of sixty-four years of age; in full possession of his mental faculties. Of pleasant manner and with a good sense of humor. I questioned Mr. Ostman thoroughly in reference to the story given by Mr. Green. I cross-examined him and used every means to endeavor to find a flaw in either his personality or his story, but could find neither.

What makes this so believable is the descriptions he gave of the family members at a time when little was known or at least published, and has since been corroborated many thousands of times. I am not sure what he means about the old lady being meek. Over 7 foot tall and over 500 lbs hardly seems meek. Perhaps it was her personality or submission to the old man. I only wish Abert had given more recorded testimony and had been interviewed back in the day. I have seen the spot with John Green.

One of my all-time favourite encounters. I had to write this one up speculatively told from The perspective of the Sasquatch… https://youtu.be/fu0Kb9UdJdg

This is one of my favorites of all. 98% of the good stuff I’ve heard here at SC, and this is no exception. Thanks for posting this Wes.
