Monkeys Yelling While Fishing

A listener writes “I have an encounter I would like to share. It was with me and my mother. So one day me and my mom chose to go fishing at a bridge somewhat on the outskirts of our small town.

Our town is Coushatta in Louisiana. We arrived at the bridge and we both noticed that everything was eerily silent. And when I say silent, I mean SILENT. Literally nothing moved, no crickets, no insects flying, no birds chirping. Absolutely silent. It was also quite foggy and dark. I disregard the silence and started fishing. After about 20 minutes I caught a small fish and decided to take a picture, and my mom who was talking to my sister on the phone in the car came out to snap a quick photo. And that’s when we heard it.

Right after we take a picture, we hear this sound that I can only describe as a monkey, baboon, or ape screaming. The sound consisted of two VERY LOUD, low pitch whoops, instantly followed by a once again, VERY LOUD high pitch scream. This sound process continued for about 1 whole minute repeatedly and just spontaneously stopped.”

It would seem that the Sasquatch was annoyed because of the flash? I would hope you guys left post haste! Looking forward to hearing this episode. Thx for sharing. _m

I think it was tired of them holding up that fish and taking a pic…..it was probably feeling ‘teased’ lol.

Very interesting. One thing I’ve never gotten to hear is the monkey sounds. Sounds good.
