Missing Gresham camper – Update

PORTLAND, Ore. — Police and volunteers are searching for a 27-year-old Gresham man last seen at a Larch Mountain campground on Saturday.

Search crews found his coat in the water along the East Fork of the Lewis River on Tuesday.

Vadim Mukhin was camping with friends at the Sunset Falls campground, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, Mukhin and several friends gathered at the Sunset Falls campground to go off-roading in the nearby hills. After a day of that, they went back to the campground for a break. Around 6 p.m., they all went back out again, except for Mukhin who stayed behind. That was apparently the last time he was seen.

Some told the sheriff’s department Mukhin had been drinking heavily. The camp site is along the East Fork of the Lewis River.

“As you can see there’s a lot of areas where you can’t really safely get down to the edge of the river to check,” said Clark County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman.

The sheriff’s department launched its drone to help check the river and its banks.

“We also have volunteer kayakers who kayak this area regularly,” said Sgt. Neiman.

Extended family members said Mukhin was reuniting with friends after being gone the past four months on a church based mission trip to Panama. His church is called “God Will Provide.”

Mukhin’s sister, Tonya, said it’s not like him to “just disappear.”

“He’s constantly in touch with the family, checking in with us,” she said, adding that the family is grateful to the volunteers searching for him. “We appreciate anybody’s help.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Our missing young man who went to a Park in Orange County, Ca., was found dead in a shallow grave, friend arrested for murder, so Sad! I sure hope we find this 27 year old safe….

“Volunteer search teams scoured the area again Tuesday looking for Mukhin. There’s still no sign of him, but his family told FOX 12 they found his beige and white jacket and his white jeans.”

His Jacket and his white PANTS… This sounding more and more like a Missing 411 case… Not good…

I pray that he is found alive but it truly is unsettling that his clothes we’re found in the water and I assume it was the clothes he was last seen in. This does sound like a missing 411. Whatever became of the other missing man that left his family at the campsite to get a cell signal? Was he found or did I miss something?

Wes, do you know if they found his footwear with the clothing that was collected?
Nice job getting out there and helping to hopefully motivate others to look for this young man, and also putting in work yourself to bring this kid home.
Seems like a recovery mission at this point unfortunately.

Thanks for the update Wes and I’m happy to hear you sounding better. Take care of yourself bro, that last run of colds in the crowd was nasty. How from where you and Woody had your encounter is that campground?

Oh Wes, thank you so much for doing that. It brings the story closer to my heart. Many prayers for finding him and for all who are worried. You are top shelf my friend.

Hey Wes. It makes my heart sick to hear of such a young man going missing like that. I will continue to keep him in my prayers every day. You are doing the family a big service by just bringing this to everyones attention. Hoping for the best.

If you look closely you can see one of those $70K Sasquatch Research Hummer 3’s! Great viechle for this type of weather. lol Just Kiddin! Sorry to hear about this man being lost. If he is found quite a ways further(a lot of miles) from his camp site then you just might have a Missing 411 situation, unfortunately. I sure hope he is found alive and that his family is doing alright during such a tough time. We need to ?? for both the lost young man and his family for what they both are going through. Thanks Wes for the updates and keeping us posted as to this man’s current situation!

Thank you Wes, for getting involved! You are awesome!
I pray he is found alive and well. Please stay safe and warm yourself. You are so important to the Sasquatch community. May God Bless you my friend, warrior! Prayers for his family and friends, and prayers for you, Wes.

Thanks Wes for the video work, very sad situation, sounds every bit a 411 case. Prayers for his discovery, has to be very hard for the family. It’s nice that you are keeping your members informed.

Thanks for the boots on the ground look at the campground. I definitely suspect foul play given the terrain in that area, and it worries me considering where it’s at. Thanks for joining the search effort, Wes. I hope he is found alive and well.

Who in the heck wares WHITE pants camping? NOT ME! I’ll bet he took some mushrooms, got drunk, took his cloths off, and decided to take a dip. He’s probably down river. It’s not too wise to go out hiking when your drunk. It doesn’t make since to take your clothes off this time of year in WA state. He could of covered himself up with branches of Salal brush to keep dry, and then died during the night! Let’s hope he’s alive!

Alcohol….uh yeah, when has anything ever positive come out of people drinking until they’re drunk? Never…..not going to happen. A sober person would not drown in that little creek of a river. A drunk dumb person…yep could easily drown in that creek. More likely than not he got drunk, high and will turn up later or dead of exposure.

I always thought the river was much bigger after your video of the orbs. I didn’t realize it was just a creek.

I would assume if someone went for a swim they would not only remover their jacket and pants but also boots, underwear, shirt etc. If that wasn’t found then that is bizarre. Was his car found there?

Thanks for the video, but seriously dude, you have pneumonia, you should be in bed or the studio. No more SAR for you!

I live in East Texas and I was driving through shnf fs road last year when a forest ranger pulled me over to ask what we were doing. He told us to be careful a man went missing last month while geocaching and hadn’t been seen since. That was unnerving.

This year in April / May ( they are unsure of time frame it looks like) a middle age man went missing a couple miles away. Has never been found but his car was found smashed up, apparently police say he was robbed and suspect foul play….I’d say so.

Thanks Wes for the video of the area. It gives us a better prospective of the area, very helpful. Thanks also for your involvement, we need more caring people like you.
    Take care.

Is there any video of were Wes had his sighting? Like the spot he was parked? The tree the one was in and the deadfall the big one kept going behind and coming out? I can’t believe how thick the woods are over there!! I can see how people say that Sasquatch disappear around there! I live in Michigan and we have thick woods but with that moss on the tree’s it must be almost impossible to see more then 10 feet in the summer? Great show Wes and appreciate all the work you put into your show. Yours is by far the best out there and i can’t wait for every show. Thanks!!
