Fun idea, but yeah…might have to all be mechanical, rather than electrical…and the likelihood as Knobby’s case exhibits, is that you’ll catch one of the more common variety of home invaders. lol.

I suppose the mechanical trap could trigger a connection TO an electronic notification that would be electrically dead otherwise. With no remote way to notify you, you could easily kill a person due to neglect for a few weeks between checking in.

and of course the more you check in, the less likely it is to be invaded.

and even if successful you’re right back to the old “Where do you go with a body” conundrum. The government has to know and clearly doesn’t want disclosure so…

    yeah.

Amazing how 2 months after an election, you can still turn a simple “happy new year” thread into a font for political jabs, Knobby. lol For anyone who’s here to simply pass along best wishes for love and joy in the new year…Happy New Year!! =D

That’s a great recording, Darrel B! Thanks for sharing. No clue but sounds “thicker” than coyotes to my pretty ignorant ears.

Wolves? Squatch? People acting fool? *shrug*
Great audio either way! Good hunting!!

I love low-budget and indie films, but a “first time script-writer” comparing yours to Jaws sounds maaaaybe like a hubris “bridge too far”. I guess we’ll see, but yeah…that coupled with the terribly innovative title “Bigfoot” and a production company already having filed bankruptcy in a production arena where you SHOULD be just keeping things small, simple and safe-bets, leaves me with little expectations here. Hopefully it will exceed the extremely low-bar of that “Sasquatch Sunset” lol-fest.

FB is basically just good for staying in touch with friends and little else.

Requiring verifiable proof before a thing can be discussed is a HUGE problem for speculating about what we don’t know and cryptid conversations are ludicrously harmless to economic and societal interests.

It has however, become financially necessary for the large platforms to censor, as some folks tend to ACT on unproven claims that they find agreeable rather than stick around and fully explore their veracity in an impartial manner that real research necessitates.

You could probably start a telegram channel or something similar with far less censorship if you want to share things that are opinion, unobjectively verifiable or speculative in nature, such as sasquatch info.

There are tons of other smaller platforms across the socio-political spectrum as well.

    gotta agree…that Arby’s burger is quite Ho-Hum. =D

    as for SC gear…

I show one of the Unisex pullover hoodies in 2XL is still available!
    GO GRAB IT!!

    lol

I’m tempted to grab it myself…tried getting shirts/hoodies years ago and kinda gave up waiting for new stock.

I’m sure Wes stocks it from time to time…just have to catch it when he does.

    Very cool.

I’m unsure how understanding the shape/number of the chromosomes, affects the genome mapping which has already existed for Wooly Mammoth for quite some time.

I kinda feel like it’s worth it to clone up a few of these things, if nothing more than an impetus to return our popular culture’s imagination to science again.

The more we think critically about stuff, the less dumb shit we do as a species.

No reason to assert counter-facts already, and an O/T flag would be nice since I think this is still a Sasquatch forum.

By a video someone was recording, the Service counter-sniper appears to indeed have seen the kid ahead of time. Video shows them looking that direction just before the shots are fired. I think the agent may have simply been unprepared for the task of putting down possible threats FAST and waited a few seconds too long.

While it’s waaaaay too soon to say for sure, an agent’s delay and another angry kid with a gun, appears far more likely scenario, than a secretive society, getting a 20 year old to kill (or deliberately miss, depending on which conspiracy you require) a Presidential candidate.

Folks…If they were planning it, the last thing they Secret Service would do is paint a target DIRECTLY on themselves (which allowing a sniper in an elevated position within 200 meters of your client DOES.), unless their goal is to be feared like some warlord or gangster/dictator. Also, they might get someone better than a 20 year old kid to pull the trigger. smh Also, there are easier, less incriminating ways to remove someone, when you’re >>already in their security detail<<. Dude still probably swims in his pool, drives now and then, boinks mistresses and eats, yes? So many accidents happen everyday.

I could be totally wrong, since I’m not sure I even made it through the horrible trailer, but I think their “goal” wasn’t to mock sasquatch or even make fools of themselves. lol I THINK their goal was to attack/deconstruct humanity based on their personal beliefs/perceptions, using another creature as the lens. While that’s certainly an old and viable narrative tactic, it’s far less effective these days as it’s clear that most modern creatives are so cloistered/sheltered they don’t even understand humanity, much less another animal.

Telling someone else and being believed, for most people is ALL they care about.
Making “reports” is uncommon, so I’d have to figure that well more than 2/3 of sightings go “unreported”.

and yeah, Knobby…plenty of the older generations that lived off the land, certainly knew enough to be cautious of the unknown around them, but as dependence on the social constructs increased, so too does the need to diminish such unknowns as religion/fantasy, or deny them entirely.

The simpler/cruder/weaker the society, the more likely they are to have no problems admitting the existence of things beyond their control. It’s just most societies like that have, by now been absorbed into larger human societies as we’ve overrun the planet.

It’s my belief that WE are the main reason these creatures stay “unofficial”. By we, I simply mean homo sapiens. We depend on our social constructs, which themselves depend on at least the perception of “control” and “authority” to operate. Clearly there are beings and events that exist largely or wholly beyond our control. I think our instincts toward society and it’s necessary control mechanisms demand the creation of “blind spots” in our view of the world where such beings/events are involved.

It’s naturally abhorrent to those in control to feel out of control. They quickly get emotional at the idea of being out of control and would have NO problem getting rid of evidence to the contrary or co-opting the narrative if possible. Aside from knowledge and saving a few lives a year, what would it serve to officially reveal that we all live behind enemy lines of a sister taxa that is far stronger/faster/more capable?

As we’re all aware, denial and dismissal of reality is done all the time for far less dramatic reasons than bigfoot/trolls.

Ohio. Plenty of sightings to go around, but plenty of tight lips and narrow minds as well, especially in the hinterlands so really hard to be more accurate. Most lists seem to put us around 5th or so. I figure that’s reasonable but maybe a bit high.

Old folks down by the river called em Chitarees. Child snatchers.

agreed. although it doesn’t HAVE to be horror…they could simply make a film about honest animal nature if they wanted to as well. Just not whatever THIS film appears to be doing…lol. smh Ari Aster needs to be more careful what his name is being attached to. >_>

Reality is complicated and life is generally lazy. Most people want to be confirmed rather than informed and want easy answers over complex ones.

So no surprise that those who rise to the top deliver that.

Sadly, it’s an easy thing to sell monstrous lies when people aren’t willing to question the answers they desire.
