Hmmm, as he pans the camera to the right at about 6 mins there seems to be a black, humanoid, cone headed shape behind the tree.

    Two other ideas….
Musk ox have long, thick, hollow hairs that can trap more warm air close to the skin. Polar bear fur is dense and oily, the oil repels moisture and traps heat. I wonder if any hair samples have shown either of these characteristics?

Like the open mic shows, nice to have a bit of a relaxed kick back style show as a change and enjoy the humour and banter. Don’t know why folks are complaining….seems like Wes is treating them as an “added extra” so no one is losing out on the main shows. If they’re not your kind of thing then just hit the off switch! ?

Try being an obsessive here in the uk ?
I know we don’t have the vast areas of wilderness but we still have legends of wild men and there has to be some kernel of truth in there somewhere. Perhaps a race memory brought over here with people from other lands?
Or something that once existed here when the UK was much more heavily forested but has now died out?
Whatever it is I know I’m hooked, so many fascinating stories and sightings, there has to be something!

My two cents….you wouldn’t walk into a tiger’s home and expect it to welcome you with open paws. I’m coming to believe we’re dealing with some form of giant primate here. If you read Jane Goodall’s books she makes it clear that a big male chimp is as likely to rip your face off as anything if it feels threatened in any way, particularly if it sees you as another “alpha”. Add young in to the mix and the adults of any type of ape will be more likely to try and scare you off and if you don’t take the hint then bad things will happen!
Why do we think Bigfoot would behave any differently? It takes years to get chimpanzee or gorilla groups to tolerate humans near them and even then they are unpredictable. I suspect Bigfoot is even more intelligent than the great apes and that makes it a creature to be much more wary of.
As for people having different opinions, it would be a boring planet if we all thought the same. As long as we respect each other’s point of view and stay willing to learn then it’s all good 🙂

Loved reading about wildlife from a young age and it was a short hop to reading about all sorts of cryptozoology. I started listening to podcasts while I’m working and when I found Sas Chron that was it! Totally hooked by people’s encounters and appreciate the way Wes interviews them. I get teased a lot at work but it’s all good natured. There’s so much more to the subject than people think, from mythology to fossil records and sightings all over the world, hope we get definitive proof in my lifetime!

Thanks Papa_Yeti, I’ll have a listen to those. I’ve heard stories of dog/beasts on the moors in Yorkshire or Dartmoor, they were more like big black dogs though. I doubt we have any large enough areas of forest or wilderness compared to the States for these animals to live in without being found!

United Kingdom, not much chance of spotting anything here! 🙂
Always been fascinated by the subject, there’s just so many compelling sightings and stories that there has to be a real creature behind them.
