I know you want to keep this simple but this was so weird I thought everyone should have the full report and decide if this belongs or if it should be tossed…

This is a strange report that I received on February 1, 2016. Odd desription for a Bigfoot Report!!!
Report: On January 31, 2016, We were driving down St Rd. 46 at approximately 7:00 PM from Greensburg to Batesville, Indiana when we spotted something by the railroad tracks. It was a large bodied bipedal animal standing approximately 8′ tall with very broad shoulders.
The eyes were very round ( golf-ball like) and set close together. The eyes were glowing an amber color in our headlights. As we drove by, the silhouette of this animal just stood there and didn’t move but the eyes followed us as we passed on by. This animal looked as if it had no neck and had a very light tint to the hair that covered its body.
After getting the exact location from the eyewitness, on February 3, 2016 at 9:00 AM, I met the eyewitness’ boyfriend out at the location. (Eyewitness was not present due to work schedule.) The boyfriend was very familiar with the encounter as it was relayed to him first hand by the two eyewitness.
Statement: “As they were driving east on St Rd 46 heading toward Batesville, they observed this creature standing along the roadside on the embankment by the tree line that sets on the north-side of the railroad tracks. The creature just stood there and watched them pass by. It stood by the trees just before you get to the McCoy sign.”
Statement: “The way they described it, it was light in color, almost a white or a light pinkish tint to it. They said it looked as if there was no neck, just broad shoulders with these large eyes glowing an amber color. The best way she could describe it; she said it looked like an eight foot tall owl standing there. She even said it looked as if it had a beak on it’s face.”
The area the creature was standing as they passed by in the car. “It was standing along the tree line.”
Note: Me and the eyewitness’ boyfriend searched the area for prints. We did find in the area where it was said to be standing, a deep impression in the soft ground with the grass and soil concave. However— no tangible prints were found.
Railroad tracks that set on the south-side of the tree line where the creature was seen.
Though the eyewitness’ are not sure of what kind of a creature they had seen, they are certain they seen something very unusual and unknown to science. Was it a Bigfoot— or perhaps was it what many people refer too as “The Mothman or Owlman”.
After including this investigation to our website, I was contacted by an individual named “Marcus”.
Marcus brought to my attention that this is not the first time that the so called “Mothman or Owlman” has been seen in Greensburg, Indiana— Or at least a creature with a similar description. Marcus gave me a web-link to the Indianapolis Journal of September 24, 1893 (Sunday Paper).
The Indianapolis Journal reads as such:
A Terrible Monster
Two Greensburg women meet with a hair raising experience.
Greensburg, In. Sept. 23— Mrs. Caspar Mann and Mrs. Joseph Groswick were returning home in a buggy last evening, when they heard an unusual noise from the woods along the road. A moment later a horrible creature descended a tree, coon-fashion and running after the buggy. Attempted to climb up behind. There was a race for life that continued, when two men with dogs was met, and the pursuing monster fled into the woods. The animal was about seven feet long. It’s head ended in a beak, like an eagles, and it’s body was round, like that of an alligator, covered with scales, and ornamented with a pair of wings.
Here is the link to the Indianapolis Journal that Marcus gave me. Just click on the button below to be directed to the link.

ParticipantAlso another point that was brought up on this thread that I would like to give some feedback on because I believe it pertains to me, is the reference to all of the so-called “backside kissing” grown men seem to send in Wes’s direction.
I would just like to clarify the reason I speak so highly of him personally, and this could possibly be the same reason for others,I don’t know for sure.
To me the question of “Is Sasquatch real?” has been a lifelong one. It’s a question that has always been in the back of my mind. With this program I was able to answer that question, at least to my own satisfaction. I believe because of that, this makes me truly appreciative for what He has given me personally. If it helps, I will try to tone down my appreciation in the future.
I hope this helps you understand the reason for the praise and admiration, at least on my behalf.
ThanksFebruary 26, 2016 at 9:15 am #73283David W
ParticipantHey guys, I didn’t realize that giving out your email address was against the rules. So if that’s the case I request that posts numbering 73043 and 72903 be removed, under the thread “my family’s encounter” sorry about that.
I notice that several people who were telling the city and state they were from, from time to time would mention attractions around their hometown. So if you don’t mind I would like to give a plug to a little mom and pop shop in my hometown.
If you just happen to be passing through and needed the windows tinted on the vehicle you were driving, this little place will treat you like family, he’s been at the same job forever it seems and if you happen to be the last job of the day and happened bring up Bigfoot, you better have time to listen! Because he’ll invite you out to this nice little fire pit he has in his backyard and tell you all about it, while you sip your beer and warm yourself by the fire. If you really have plenty of time, this guy is even a subscriber to Sasquatch Chronicles. He’ll fire up a couple of old favorite episodes while you sit there and talk. He might even have the same first name and last initial that I do, but the world is full of strange coincidence! It’s a cool little place you gotta google it! You’ll be glad you did!
Thanks.February 25, 2016 at 12:43 am #73043David W
ParticipantTrail Squatch, Dave T, and other interested SC members, I have stated before my lack of experience and time. I want to turn this area over to a group with the knowledge and tools to do this right. I would love to get those screams we heard recorded. Even better a trail cam pic!
I have tried very hard to make this as safe as possible for my boys and myself but still question the decisions I have made about going in this area with them along. I mirror the concerns Pappa-Yeti expressed!
The goal of these family Bigfoot camping trips was to see if all of the stories were true or not. I believe we have accomplished that goal. So after listening to this latest episode I believe we will still go camping and hiking but not to areas like this anymore. We would be willing to make plans to meet any and all who are interested in pursuing this further for one last day hike into the area to show where everything took place.
We are still very enthusiastic about this subject and would only ask to be kept in the loop of any progress made and would love to see or here anything you may record during your investigations! Here is my email address so you can contact us and we could exchange phone #s if you like. Thanks guys!

ParticipantThanks Teresa, I think you are exactly right about that! I think I will look into that.
Myself growing up we never had any exposure to guns. My dad was not a hunter or gun enthusiast so I am not very familiar with firearms, other than a high powered bb gun I had as a kid. I was a pretty good shot by the way! Lol! Then here in recent years with some family from my mom’s side we visited in GA. My youngest and myself went target shooting with them. We had a lot of fun. They taught us gun safety. Myself and the other adults shot skeet, I havent lost my touch by the way, while my youngest, with close supervision, got to do some target practice with a little .22 pistol. He thought he was really something! Lol!
Both of my boys are very curious about guns so yes, I know you are right about teaching gun safety. I believe we are going to make that trip agian this spring and hopefully my oldest will go also and we will gain some more experiance! Thank you very much for your interest and concern. I really appreciate it!February 24, 2016 at 5:56 pm #72958David W
ParticipantThey sounded hungry and scavenging for anything to eat! First the dumpsters, then the garden! I fell like when your in a tent listen to the sounds around you it’s the same as having your eyes closed. It helps you concentrate on the sounds and tune in to what’s happening.
Great story See-Atch77! Thanks for sharing!February 24, 2016 at 4:37 pm #72936David W
ParticipantFrankie,
Thanks a lot! I appreciate that! I ran out of options myself as to what it could have been. I didn’t get to see anything so I’m stopping short of 100% personally.
My oldest son who did see a dark silhouette,
who knows basicly nothing about the subject, was recently looking at the cover of a book I was reading and said the head and shoulders silhouette looked exactly like the cover picture. The book is called “The Locals”.
He is a very serious personality and not the kind to tell me that just to please me. I actually think he would have loved for it to be a bear. He thought the whole trip was a wild goose chase.
Thanks for the post!February 24, 2016 at 2:57 pm #72913David W
ParticipantMy mistake, thanks for the grizzly bear video, Pappa-Yeti! I’ll get the hang of this eventually, BEAR with me! Lol!

DAVE T, Trail Squatch and everybody else we can all meet down there this summer sometime for a real investigation. Everyone email me and I will give you all my phone number. And I understand if you want to block yours when you call it won’t hurt my feelings!
Thanks again!February 24, 2016 at 11:43 am #72868David W
ParticipantThanks for the post Knobby,
I have never camped or hike in grizzly bear territory. Most everywhere I have been has been east of the Mississippi.
Thanks to that video I don’t know if I ever will! Lol! That is truly terrifying to think about! Thanks again!February 24, 2016 at 11:25 am #72863David W
ParticipantYes I would really like to. I’ve heard a little bit of grumbling about the BFRO and turning my report into them. I was wondering what the concern with the BFRO is? How do you feel about this? I am currently waiting for an investigator from their organization to contact me. I’m taking for granted he will want to return to the location where everything occurred. Is that correct?

ParticipantHey it is perfectly okay I understand your concern my boys are 14 and 11 their friend at the time was 17 but like I said all of them are seasoned hikers and campers and just like myself know how to react in wildlife situations but I was still concerned and tryed my best to take every safety precaution other than a gun. I will take bear spray this year that is one thing I did not have and should have! Even though my boys know what to do they really enjoy doing this with me and put a lot of pressure on me to let them go the second and third trips. I did not want to take them back but they kept on insisting and asking so I reluctantly caved in.But again tried my best to be extremely careful. I really do appreciate your concern. Thanks!

ParticipantPappa-Yeti,
I have been camping and hiking all over this half of the United States and realize the safety concerns. I have encountered bears before and understand how to react in those situations. At the time I did not yet know for sure these we’re truly real. These boys aren’t little toddlers. Their friend is 18 and a seasoned hiker and outdoorsman himself so are my boys. We all had machetes and I gave strict instructions on going nowhere by yourself, everyone stays together in a group.
The second trip down we took even more precaution and the third trip there is an even larger group with all the same safety precautions.
After our first encounter before we made our second trip back I contacted some experienced outdoorsman without mentioning Bigfoot and made sure I was being safe before going back again. I took this very seriously and my kids mean everything to me. I was always last in line when hiking so I can keep my eyes on them and my head was always on a swivel! I appreciate your concern and welcome any additional safety suggestions from you, I enjoy all your posts! Thanks! -
