Thanks for the input I really do hope they are smart enough to leave a mama and kids alone but the numbers of report of them watching kids does gives me the creeps. I’ll definitely carry when I’m in the boonies. I do some solo camping off my dualsport bike without my kids in some remote places so maybe that’s also a concern. I’m happy to report I now have a gun scabbard mounted on my bike!
And yes the missing 411 series’s is insane! Sometimes it seems fishy like maybe foul play but other times who knows? Sasquatch? Cougars?
Thanks guys this helps calm the nerves. The kids are aware of cougar and bear and what to do and not do and we practice drills in the woods, they are gun aware and respectful too for their young ages but since beginning to whole heartedly believe that Sasquatch are real it’s a scary thought. We live in the South Okanagan Summerland area. Side note: my brother in Lumby has weird things on his property and I just saw there have been some BFRO reports in his area in the past! Thanks again everyone. I’m going to try and get past my fear and keep going out with the kids and maybe just work more on some emergency drills with them.
