Christina, sorry for the late reply. I’m not completely familiar with your area, but can assume you are in the thick of it. Just heard a great story out of Lake Jocassee. I’m currently in the Piedmont of NC. I’d like to hear what u got going on over there. I was hoping this page would create a better discussions and possibly local expeditions. But not so much. Nevertheless, here’s my email.

    Christina B,
My grandparents lived in the upstate of SC (Lake Keowee). That area is ideal for Sasquatch. Do u research out that way at all?

    Knobby,
Yes, I agree about the many forms of mimicking. Though, I agree about the growling, I’m not sure about whether it’s natural or mimicking. Many animals growl. I was just excited about finding a unique sound similar to another creature across country. After listening to over 1000 hrs of audio, it’s nice to know I’m not completely wasting my time.😂😂

Thanks for sharing, M! I enjoy listening to Amy Bue speak. Plus, I’m a little biased because I’m from OH, and a fellow educator. We need more like her to bring awareness to the subject.

M99, I’m right there with u. I needed 3 more hours! Too many questions were running through my head.

Jeremiah, thanks for the link. The world needs more humility. But there’s nothing wrong with propping up those who should be credited.

    Janelle K,
Welcome! I’m not familiar with NW OH, but was born and raised in NE OH. Your area is a lot more flat, less trees, and used for farming. However, did you know the majority of NW OH was part of major swamp. Unfortunately, the early settlers drained it.

With that being said, I bet there are still plenty of swamps around. My advice would be to pinpoint an area with swamps, rivers, or tributaries, and some trees for cover. Sasquatch may not be there all the time, but they may travel through a couple times of year.

BFRO doesn’t show much your way. But that doesn’t mean these creature’s are not there. Take a look at the Bigfoot Mapping project as well. If you want to expand your search, head up to Michigan. They are definitely in there.

In regards to Dogman, there was major flap of werewolf sightings in Defiance OH back in the 70s. It made national news. There have been other sightings of both Bigfoot and Dogman further up I75 towards Dayton.
    I hope this helps.

    Markus,
You all have folk tales of trolls, ogres, and the little people throughout your history. I teach my students about them. You should be giving us a tutorial.

Ontario is beautiful! I’ve stayed up at a cabin on Lake Limerick and Bobs Lake. Think you’d probably have better luck up there. Not as familiar with the west coast. But if you’re looking in KY, I’d recommend the eastern half in or near the mountains. All along the Appalachian mountain chain would be suitable. Guess it all depends on your choice of climate.

Marco, where do you live? Maybe we can help narrow your search.

Interesting video, yet hard to say. The squat down in the brush is what they do. And it does blend in well.

Hey everyone, hope all is well. Thought I’d resurrect this thread again for all the new members. I’m still looking for stories and like minded individuals out of or nearby the great state of NC. I’m in the Piedmont region. 3 hrs from the coast, 3 hrs from the mountains. In spite of popular belief, there are and have been sightings out this way. As you would guess, mainly near rivers.
After perusing through Google maps, I found a unique spot at a confluence of a major river. There is a state park right there as well. I took a hike out that way. Saw some interesting structures, but nothing too exciting. Nevertheless, the area met all the criteria. Fast forward 5 months, and I see a BFRO report no more than a mile away. Not gonna lie, finally felt like I knew what I was doing.😂😂.
Anyways, I left a Long duration recorder out there a couple months. Nothing concrete, but there is something walking bipedally around there late at night.
    Here is the BFRO report.
