Thanks everyone for your help. Another issue that I have noticed is that when you select download for an episode, if there is any problem and the download fails, the app has no recovery from that. It just sits there and spins, forcing the user to restart the app, which, of course, makes you have to, once again, download all the episode synopsis 10 at a time to get to the one you want to hear. Ugh.

I code for a living, and I don’t see how this could have passed any quality checks before release. Very odd to me. All I can say is that SC must have gotten a great deal on the app. It feels like a cookie-cutter app that gets branded quickly and then sold.

Please don’t think that I am ragging on SC. I absolutely love Wes and the show. So much so, that I am genuinely disappointed when the goal of excellence is missed. I wish nothing but good luck to Wes and his staff.

I would like to return to my old podcast player, BeyondPod, but I can find no way to download ALL the episodes, both members and free ones into it. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know. With Coast2CoastAM, there is a member paywall url that passes the user/password and allows the podcast player access to all episodes. It also keeps a small database of all episodes onboard, which the SC App must not. It also remembers/marks episodes you have listened to, and also where you stopped inside an episode to return to later.

I, personally, don’t need an APP. I probably wouldn’t use it anyway. I DO use a podcast downloader/Player on my phone. I have a dozen podcasts or so that download when they are published every day. Some are behind a paywall, and are accessed with a username/password. Some are public.

I think an APP is an unnecessary expense. They are not cheap. It would be cheaper for Wes if you got the Members Only episodes behind a paywall, and let people use their favorite podcast player to access.

Same here. I started out downloading this podcast a few months ago with BeyondPod for Android. I liked it so much, I decided to pay and subscribe. I thought, “Now I can get all the extra episodes to listen to.” But, when I put my username and password into the subscription, I don’t get anything extra. So, I ask myself… what’s the point of subscribing? I’m not butthurt, just puzzled. I do this for a bunch of other podcasts, and never had an issue. Such as C2CAM and Rush 24/7.

Forgive me for asking probably a simple question, but what is the secret here?

Thanks. Love the show. Especially love how Wes interviews. So smooth, and

lets the guests talk without interrupting them

. Really great job. Very enjoyable.
