ParticipantI live in Oregon too. I’m in Bend, and the smoke here has been unbearable. No sightings though. I’d love to find out if there our other folks in my area who do outings from time to time.

ParticipantI wish there was an outing in my area in Central Oregon. I would love to join!

ParticipantI am curious what others will say on this. You can definitely see lips, nose, and maybe an eye at one point. Wow.

ParticipantHey Chris, my spirit brother! Well, my personal opinion (and I could be wrong), that there’s really only one type.. I know, I know, many types have been reported, but my belief is – just like there are many kinds of us, human brothers and sisters, living on this earth, there are many kinds of hairy brothers and sisters living among us.

ParticipantThat’s awesome! These idiots need to obey the subscription rules and copyright protection. I hope you find them all and shut them down quickly. Thank you for doing that, and keep the good content coming!

ParticipantKnobby, you are pretty much saying what I am saying – every type of living creature on our planet has a different way of perceiving things around them. We know that dogs do not have abstract thought like we humans do, but they themselves don’t know it. Similarly, other types of creatures could have other abilities to perceive and deceive us, without us, humans, knowing it. It would be extremely ignorant for us to believe that we, humans, know everything. If we only know what we know, and only understand what we think we know, how would we understand we are wrong if we are wrong?

ParticipantAll creatures on this planet have some method of eluding themselves from either predators or prey. While we may perceive most of them just fine, there are some we cannot always see or hear for whatever reason. Just like Jane Goodall did not see chimps for a long period of time, we may not always be able to see other creatures nearby. I have a friend, who was a Navy seal for 5.5 years. He told me he could be less than a foot away from a person, and not be detected. To some of us it may seem like magic, because we don’t understand it. But I also get amazed that my dog does not see a deer in the trees standing still, until it starts to move. It’s all in the eyes of the beholder.
I once did an interesting experiment. While hiking in the woods, I tilted my head sideways 90 degrees, so that the trees would be parallel to my field of vision (and not up and down). I was amazed how different the perceived picture was. It was almost like I could notice more all of a sudden. Of course, walking like that with your neck bent is not easy or pleasant, but it does offer another field of view. My 2 cents.

ParticipantMark, I personally think that the tree video in some way validates what I was saying. There are many things that we may not be able to perceive and this may be one of them. I agree, the video is very strange, but also intriguing. For what it’s worth.

ParticipantMy personal opinion is – we can only see what we know we can see. Just like many pray animals only notice movement while ignoring something that is absolutely still, our human brains too have limitations. Unfortunately for us, we don’t know what those limitations are, and my personal opinion is some of the other predators take that into account, which may also includes sasquatch. I could be wrong, but for what it’s worth.

ParticipantI second that, Chris. I would also like to see people share more personal stories, like the one the gentleman from Montana shared yesterday.

ParticipantGary, thank you for sharing! That is an incredible encounter. Would love to know what part of the country this was. I too have seen similar eye shine while driving in the dusk hours in Southern Oregon. They were to my left, and one pare of eyes was slightly higher than the other. In my case though they were more yellowish-orange than red. It happened way too quick to really know for sure, but height-wise it was about 8 feet off the ground or so, about 15 feet off the road next to a tree.

ParticipantDarn, I was really hoping to see where the other topic goes, but alas it got closed. I was thinking we could put cardboard cutouts of Trump and Clinton in the forest and see which one(s) get their heads torn off?
