Here in Oregon’s Willamette Valley at the edge of the coastal mountain range near the small town of Kings Valley is an area I’ve had success
finding what I believe to be evidence of Bigfoots presence. Visiting the area originally to fish a small pond with rumors of large bass. The fish were biting and while reeling one in the fish danced on the waters surface, i heard a sharp distinctive wood on wood sound come from the tree line about 50 yards away. Having a close encounter decades before (close to 30′) sparked my interest. The hair on my neck stood out as I recalled reading about wood knocks before. That brought back some feeling and quickly found myself leaving. A few days pass and I decide to return. The road to the lake is on the bottom of a steep climb right on horseshoe corner. Stopping at the transition between a clear cut parcel and the tree line up the hill about 150 feet was a huge X in the tree. I looked around and found nothing definetive. I continued to look around a couple times a week. I’d heard about bringing food out and foolishly did. Strange result with the food I brought. Wanting a second opinion I brought another person to go with. Next to the pond on the other side of the road was a smaller pond that passed thru a culvert under the road drained into the fishing pond that was creek that came down a ravine. A log partly submerged in the water on which sat something hugging what looked like its knees. We had binoculars and glassed this creature that appeared 2-3
feet in the sitting position. Over the coarse of several minutes it never budged an inch. As my companion was observing it she asks me my is there a monkey way out here? Realizing what she said and the reason I brought her there she got a little freaked out and wanted to go home. On my next visit the gate was closed and a large sign was posted that stated closed to the public by order of the county commissioner. I found that kinda odd and have never seen a similar sign. The area is still closed years later. The whole area is privately own. Why would post it that way when the gate could be locked. Sorry for long version, hope it was worth the read. Thanks Rob
