Growing up in Southeast Texas in the late 70s and early 80s there was not a lot to do besides read books and run around the woods with a hunting knife and pellet gun. Hunting and running snares for rabbits and squirrels. Parents let their kids roam compared to today.

I enjoy the podcasts and accounts of people. I haven’t had a sighting so until then I will remain on the fence. I do enjoy folklore and think there is a good change something is running around in the deep thicket in Texas.

Just joined and wanted to say hello!
My parents have land that backs up to the Big Thicket Reserve. I have hunted and fished in the backwoods and have a few stories.
I live in Houston now but do still spend time on the property
