ParticipantYeah, I used to live in Northern California. That’s where my family had our encounter. Never really had the urge back then to look for one.
Don’t blame others for not wanting to go and do research. I’ve always said that anyone that purposefully went to find one of these things weren’t right in the head. Then I started looking, and proved my own point! LOL!
I live within 40 minutes of the Bray Road area. The funny thing is that Bray Road hasn’t been the epicenter of the latest sightings. Hospital road has.
P.S. Please go in a team, and go well armed.

ParticipantI’m too far from you. I’m in Wisconsin, and you may not want to join me in my research. I’m looking for the Beast of Bray Road, which is reportedly one of the Dogmen. I’ve been out twice, and have been talking with a gentleman who said that he has seen it.
LOL! I’ve said for years that I would not go outta my way to look for Sasquatch since my experience, and what do I do? I begin with one of the Dogmen!
I’ve never claimed to be real smart!

ParticipantChris, you said “A long 45 or a 44 mag is pretty appropriate for a squatch up close and personal (as well as a sawed-off 10 or 12g).”
Chris, I like your idea of Squatch repellent! I carried either a .41 mg, or .44 mag in Alaska myself for the big griz they have. But I always thought of them as something to buy me time to get to my rifle or shotgun if they were not in hand! I figure if those handguns can stop a full grown Alaskan Grizzly, they should at least get a Sasquatch’s attention.
P.S. In my shotgun I carried .00 buck for the first two rounds to take away the bears sight and smell (by shooting them in the face if they charged), then slugs to break them down.

ParticipantIt’s real footage, Katherine. I’ve seen this myself in the mountains of California when I was young! I was working nights in a sawmill, and was on my way home and saw something very similar. (minus the piece flying off). It was moving way too slow to be a meteor. I couldn’t identify it, so by definition it was a UFO, however, it seemed that the Sacramento Bee (A newspaper in the Sacramento area) said that it was a weather balloon that came apart or something like that. The drag from the balloon slowed it down some, even while burning.
Now, whether that’s what this is, I couldn’t say. But I’d bet that’s the kind of thing it is.

ParticipantHave you ever watched a meteor shower? Doesn’t this seem a little slow for a meteor? I have seen space debris fall and look like this. Perhaps that’s the case here, and it was breaking up on descent?
I can’t tell you what it is, but it doesn’t fit the meteor story. they fly at around 108,000 feet and higher. I can’t find a video of one falling from the ground, but here’s a video of a camera on the balloon itself.

ParticipantWe just had a Bigfoot Pizza last Saturday. It was heavy on the meat, but the sauce wasn’t that good.

ParticipantHey David, I agree with Knobby here. Wes is a great guy. Share your story with him. I did, no regrets. He is a gracious interviewer, and you have nothing to worry about in these posts.

ParticipantI’m curious if there is information on Dogmen traveling solo? I know in episodes of Dogmen encounters they have mentioned in some that they were in packs. The Beast of Bray road, in the accounts I have come across, the creature was solitary. Now that doesn’t mean others weren’t around, but just not have been seen.
Also, one report of dogmen reported by a police officer was given at Bong state park. It’s not that big. But it is an old Air Force base from WW2. One gentleman I have talked with thinks this was the origin of the dogmen for the area. I’m not sold on that, as the base was closed long before genetics was even in its infancy.
Any ideas on this?
