ParticipantI am telling this story because this is what made me a true believer. I live in Cooperstown NY. A small town in upstate NY. Although I have really never had or heard of any encounters right in this area we have had lots of them North of here in the Adirondacks and South of here in Dutchess county. Anyways, a friend of mine named Bob Quinn worked with me and my brother in Rockland County just North of New York City. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago but told me a story once that made me a believer because he would have no reason to make this up and was a true friend and never lied to me about anything. We used to leave to go to work from Cooperstown NY to NYC at 2 a.m. every Monday morning and stay in a motel during the week and come home on weekends. We always drive back road till we get to the NYS thruway and usually see many critters crossing the roads but never a Bigfoot. We always listened to Coast to Coast on the way down and Art Bell would always have stories about Bigfoot and I was always fascinated. My friend Bob told me of a time when he was about 12 or 13 yrs old and him and a friend grew up in Tuxedo NY. A small town on the boarder of Rockland County and Orange County just North of NYC. It is located close to Bear Mountain and there is a massive State Park in the area and some really Squatchy areas. Well there is a private closed gate community called Tuxedo Park were a lot of famous people live including baseball players and football players as well as actors. It is a short drive to NYC from there. Maybe an Hour or so. Him and his friend were allowed to fish in this closed gate community because they knew someone in there that allowed them to go fish. It is a huge piece of land and actually has a big stone wall all the way around it enclosing the property. We are talking like 10 sqare miles I think. They call it the World With A Wall Around It. its very private with no hunting on it and plenty of rich people living in there. Lots of deer and other food available for Squatches. One night they were done fishing and when you go into the park they had to walk their bikes up a huge hill to the top of the park like a half mile up to where the ponds were. Well it was getting dark at about 8:30 p.m. and they were leaving which they loved because the ride down you didn’t have to pedal one bit. You could just coast the whole way down to the bottom and hit rt #17 which is a major highway basically. They were coasting down the hill full speed so they were not making any noise and my friend Bob came around a hairpin turn that’s in the road and standing on the right side of the road he sees a Sasquatch! It must not have heard them because they were coasting silently and moving fast. They looked at each other and he said it made a roar like something he has never heard and then it took off into the woods with its arms out and he said it was just snapping sapplings along the way like twigs. He said it was 7 to 8 feet tall with Dark Brown hair all over it. He said the hair hung down like 8 to 10 inches when it had its arms out. He said its face looked very much like a person with a huge beard. His buddy also saw it who was just behind him. They raced to the bottom of the hill and coasted right into the police station which is right there at the bottom. They told them what they saw and the police went up there with dogs and the dogs wouldn’t go into the woods only like 50 ft. They could see the broken saplings but never saw anything else. No one else reported any sighting until like 3 months later the local garbage guys from the town were up there collecting garbage and said they saw it on the edge of someones property and when they looked at it it took off. Anyways his story made me a believer because he would never lie to me. Also I met his friend he was with and he confirmed the story. God BLESS HIS SOUL. Every since then I have been a believer. Thanks for the great show. I love Sasquatch Chronicles. Have a great Day!!
