ParticipantHad two nights of high 30s, then… right back up to 78, pretty normal for this time of year. RH is down, so its nice in the sun. I popped the Targa top off the Corvette and cruised around listening to tunes today running errands.. I’ll be staying right here in south Florida.

ParticipantYeah.. all that.. lol.
I found it interesting as I have stumbled across similar “constructions” in the hinterlands of nowhere. They always seem to include bones of some type.

ParticipantYou are on the right path Avila.. not everyone can dispense with their own dogma long enough to admit they are looking at something they just don’t understand.

ParticipantGrowing up in Pennsylvania, I saw cougars on a regular basis, normally several times a year.
I distinctly remember being around 13 years old and being at a trout hatchery near Indiantown Gap.. I pointed out panther tracks in the sandy soil next to the creek to a fish and game officer (trout trooper) and asked why there where cougar tracks there if there weren’t cougars.. he took his boot and smeared them around and didn’t answer.
I’ve seen 11 here in the last 3 years or so. South Florida, most right slap in the middle of suburbia.
That episode when I was 13 taught me a lot about government lies and the fact that most people are blithering idiots that believe what they are told instead of what they actually see.
These are big cats, they are extremely slick very wily and sneaky.. I watched one walk across my backyard along a chain link fence, where there was the neighbors German Shepherd sitting facing the opposite direction, that cat walked right behind that dog less than a foot away and that dog never even knew that cat was there.I’m hard pressed to understand why they try and keep it such a big secret that these cats are around, they are natural part of our environment they’ve been here they’re going to be here I don’t understand why this is even a thing anymore, these cats have huge ranges they move all over across States even.
As I said I don’t even understand how this is even a thing anymore acting as if they don’t exist.

ParticipantI’ll just say that is the typical mentality of a “glock owner” 0 common sense and just follows the herd.. even if that includes shooting yourself in the pecker. There was a rash of this stupidity a few years back,, several removed themselves from the gene pool, thank God..
Darwin wins again.

ParticipantSince we already have a nuke plant roughly 9 miles away,. I doubt the developers are going to be paying to build a second one.
The energy produced by the plant is already at capacity. The coasts of Florida are heavily populated, especially here in south Florida.
Whether or not the “greenies” agree or AI causes people to off themselves we do not need or want a 1200 ACRE 3 story eyesore that is going to suck up our power and water located right in the middle of ranchland here.
My issue is the impact it will have on the local area, especially for those people whos wells will run dry. And the rest of us who will be losing their power regularly and will have too pay 4 times more for those losses.
I just sold a property I owned in another area of the state covered by an electric co-op.
It is not unusual for people living there to have 650 dollar a month electric bills.

ParticipantWell it seems that our ” semi-retarded” county commission deemed it appropriate to buy into a “plan” to build the largest AI data center in the country here .. all of the residents are against it as it will be a sprawling 3 story metropolis that covers 1,200 acres.. yes you read that correctly 1,200 acres.
What are these idiots thinking?
The grid here goes offline regularly, which is why we call it FPL= Frequent Power Loss.
Not to mention that hurricanes rip the grid apart and there is no power for weeks at a time. How do they expect to provide the power for this monstrosity when our grid is at full capacity already. Lets not even get into the millions of gallons a day of ground water that is needed for cooling all of the equipment.
Mark my words..this one is going to be a disaster referenced across the country if they decide too do it..which they are headed for.
Maybe I’ll have to do a deep dive after the “vote” to see who got ” paid” and how and put some more idiots in jail.
I’ve done it before here .. I’ll do it again.
I cant imagine how much this is going to cost residents in property taxes to “supply” all the money that the developers won’t.
I personally do not pay property taxes.. but other people here do and it will drive them from their homes.
This AI shit has got to end, its worthless in the long run.

ParticipantYour list of links shows why most should stay away from firearms Knobby. First one was a big bore revolver, most likely a . 500 mag. Just like the model 29 smith craze back in the 80s, idiots buy these for the look at me photos.. then after shooting it a few times realize recoil is a bitch. They then get someone to download some ammo for them so it doesn’t hurt to shoot. What they don’t realize is that you cannot do that. Case capacity has to be 90% at least, otherwise you are building small bombs for the cylinders. They will explode before the bullet even hits the forcing cone and obliterate the cylinder and topstrap. I saw quite a few model 29 smiths in that condition back in the 80s.
Second link.. ya baffle strike on the suppressor, atchkinson devices (which need to be on a linked barrel) are not meant to be fired “ghetto” style and the suppressor will fall far enough sideways to misalign the can for a nice baffle strike.. blowing the can off the pistol. He deserved that.
Those large revolvers need to be man handled as well.. put them in the hand of some limp wristed soy boy and the likelihood that the recoil will lift the gun far enough to let their weak littl trigger finger jam into that trigger again is VERY high. Often times the second round is set off directly into their head.. a self licking lollipop of sorts.
Guns aren’t toys kiddos..
I don’t think anything of value was lost in that last clip.
Heres an oldy but a goodie, this inept ghetto clown had the temerity to sue the federal government because “they” put him in this “situation.”..
You can’t make this shit up.November 27, 2025 at 7:21 am #280074Bill F
ParticipantThe U. N. Should refer back to this if they think they want to force their stupidity on Americans at some point in the future.

I’m not thinking we will have to worry about this much longer..
This “malinvestment” will be killing itself.
Great time to consider positioning to short the hell out of these companies though.
Unsustainable is an understatement, they are going to crash and burn.
