1.6 or 1.7 kHz is audible.
Interesting concept worth looking into. I like the way you think, @ben h.

@Ben H – My “rational” brain goes to this. Louisiana, even Northern areas stay above freezing most of the time. On a particular cold night a camper pieced together from different metals is going expand and contract at different rates. – Good post. I agree, however, “house poundings” or knocking are deliberate actions often found and associated Big…Read more

The only thing loosing is your mouth. If you mean “losing”, that’s how it’s spelled.

@chris422 ~ That above reprimand was about the nicest and most honest, clear one I’ve heard or seen regarding the mayhem he’s been spreading. Thank you and good job, IMHO.
@ben H ~ PS & btw, he’s (chris422) a psychologist (and a PhD), and it’s his job to be straight up, so try to be objective about Constructive criticism. Maybe in a few years…Read more

@Ben H.. pretty sure it wasn’t us, you have to make a good size left hand curve then a right hand curve and then a short straight away before their farm, I don’t think they would have known we were there, and he was holding the shotgun, and shining a flashlight into the woods opposite the road, behind the house, they were intent on what they were…Read more

@ben H ~ Falling asleep on a gravel bar sounds idyllic. In Texas we lived in a regular neighborhood, curbed and guttered. One summer we put an above ground pool in because it gets too hot in Texas. One day I looked out the patio door and was surprised to see a large bird swimming around the pool. It was a very large Blue Heron. They decided to…Read more

@ben
That was a good one. Lol@steven
Better for you guys for right now. All the counties around me have one but we don’t. We have 23 cases and counting and yesterday the MoCo Police Reporter said “NO ROADS WILL BE SHUT DOWN AND NO ONE WILL ORDER YOU TO STAY IN YOUR HOME AT GUNPOINT” *oh brother, what a time to make a point* -

@ben H ~ That’s funny in a sordid kinda way. LOL. The mind pictures, the mind pictures…
IGA is selling it a roll at a time, limit three rolls. Did you ever think we’d have this sort of shortage? I didn’t & have been through some hairy storms and evacuations several times. Glad you got what you were after. Thank goodness you didn’t have the…Read more

@Ben H you mean I will see him again when I die right? Cause I sure as hell ain’t letting another man in my life. I’d rather live a life of isolation if that’s the case.

@Ben H then you need to tell him he better keep his ass on this earth with me if I have stuff to do. I wish I knew what stuff that is but I am far too sick inside and out to do anything. I can barely eat without feeling sick because my stomach just wants to shut down and I seem to have no control over that. He left me at the worst time and I am…Read more

@Ben H you are right I did love him fiercely, so much so that it hurts to even breathe now. I didn’t just lose someone I lost my soul mate and we should have gotten more time together. That’ all I wanted I didn’t care about anything else.

I don’t think it’s too far fetched to have those kinds of abilities @Ben H. I think they’re admirable and that a lot of us are capable of things we have not begun to tap into yet.
I had a strange incident myself yesterday, after reading this thread, coincidence? Well since my boyfriend is back in the hospital again for swelling in legs and feet,…Read more

@Ben H Our GS/Rotti mix(also a pound puppy, a surrendered litter) would chase her tail over and over again. She was the only dog I ever had who did. She scooted herself under our bed one time when we were gone during a storm and ended up scraping all the skin off her pads. We are not sure how she even managed it but she did. Took her to the vet…Read more

@Ben H
Nothing that a lot of love won’t cure. Both of my current dogs were unwanted, one just shuffled from family to family until she ended up with us, and the other was on the final end of a pound stay before we took him in.
Both are now awesome farm dogs that are part of my family, and they know it.

OMG! @Ben H WTH is wrong with some people? Poor baby girl…so glad she is safe and loved with you. All our dogs are rescues or rehomed. The Boxer mixed with Redbone was supposed to be a foster but she was such a total disaster that time just slipped away and she was comfortable and happy here so I guess here she will stay. I bet you have an awesome show @Paul A I love fireworks….minus my dogs. We live out in the country too. The neighbor across the fields behind us used to put on an awesome show, rivaling some towns. But the whoosh-boom of that only mildly upset one of my dogs and we knew it and would let her in the house to hide under the bed. What happened here…Read more
