    A couple theories to chew on:

    Besides being masters of stealth and blending into their environment, I believe sasquatch are expert tree climbers, and this is a very logical way to explain how the tracks suddenly disappear.

    Because sasquatch have such a large mass (many class A/B encounters claim the foot stomps can be felt in the chest!), it’s also possible that the stomping of their feet when they are running could stir up some sort of reaction and create ball lighting from underground tree root structures or mushroom mycelium networks, which thanks to the work of Paul Stamets, we know these mycelium networks can be massive in scale.
