I agree. The Independence Day footage has always looked REALLY fake to me. I do think the Freeman footage is pretty great. Also, some of the Pennsylvania White Bigfoot vids are pretty convincing… especially the one where it pops away from that tree and it’s face squints because of the camera light. The other one where it runs across the field switching between upright running and running on all fours is pretty impressive too. (For all I know the PWB vids have been confirmed fake… if they have, I haven’t heard about it yet).
Dave T… SERIOUSLY??? hahahaha He’s such a joke! Please tell me that he’s really saying the Sasquatches are happy Streufert took down the YouTube video… for real! Because that proves he’s telling the truth, we all know that sasquatches are very concerned with the world of social media, especially YouTube. What a clown this guy is! LOL
Knobby, Dyer WILL get media attention. He got it 2 years ago with the HANK circus and that was after his 2008 BIGFOOT IN A FREEZER incident with Biscardi. And in between those two incidents was the fake TENT video.
I seriously think at this point, he is just seeing if he can get attention again… it’s funny to him. He’s already stated that “there’s no such thing as bigfoot” but that “he’s making tons of money off of it”. So, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see his name mentioned a lot again this year. We’re about due for some more of his nonsense.
We need guys like Wes, and Derek Randles to just quit any day jobs and go find the damn thing, shoot it, drag it in and prove that we’re not all crazy. (I wish I was raised to be the outdoorsman that some of these guys are) Enough with these Woo Woo’s and dirtbags like Johnson, Waterman and Dyer. Let’s get some honest people, with integrity out there. We need to find a way for people to support good REAL researchers. I’m tired of the mystery. If they’re real, I want to KNOW it… once I KNOW that, then I want to learn about them.
At one point gorillas were the same exact thing as Sasquatch. A “man like ape in the forest” that people were ridiculed for talking about. Now they’re obviously a very well known species. It will be nice when we can actually truly learn about these things without being the “fringe weirdos” to people!

Also, if you really want a good laugh, look up ED WATERMAN. He makes Dr. Johnson look level headed and totally truthful. He claims to see, and HAVE PHOTOS of 25′ tall sasquatches who kidnap human women as sex slaves… and yes, he’s SERIOUS.
I see that CONVENIENTLY, the adolescent Sasquatch “visited Dr. J in a dream” and told him of the NEW area they are going to now. So, now he’ll be able to just find a new spot in the woods and call it “SOHA 2”. And, of course, people will buy into his nonsense. Unbelievable.
Yet another episode that they tease “footage of something walking upright” all episode… then at the end… low and behold… It’S RENEE WALKING… they always do that crap… and I keep saying this, but this time I’m serious… I’m NOT watching this garbage any more.
Bear and Coonbo’s stories seem a little too far fetched for me. Always have. Sorry… I know people won’t like that… but I just can’t buy it ALL.
Knobby, that is EXACTLY true about Johnson… he has kind of a bully attitude toward those who disagree with him. I think he’s been making this stuff up for a while now… at first he was pretty believable with his habituation research… but recently everything seems to be getting more and more OUT THERE.
I think he had a legitimate experience… and has chased the attention since then.
While, I almost felt bad for him when the BCP found his spot for a second… I then found joy in the fact that they could be completely discrediting him at the same time. They have even found the STUMP SQUATCHES… which brought some satisfaction to me for some reason. I support and LOVE all LEGITIMATE researchers, and I’m not a negative person… but I just get that “creep” kind of feeling from Johnson over the last year or so… like he’s kind of went off the deep end.
Joe, I agree. I know that SasChron is a place for people to talk about the subject without being judged and ridiculed… but I guess they see the fact that most of the stories are kind of scary… or REALLY scary as “fear mongering”.
They are quite accessible and you can have pretty constructive intelligent discussions with them… I’ve told them that honestly ALMOST ANYONE who sees a Sasquatch is going to be freaked out big time and the story is going to seem scary because that’s how it seems to the witness. I think it’s also possible that these ARE scary animals. That are dangerous… I don’t think they completely disagree…
While I respect Steven, I think he tends to be like those guys who love underground bands… but when they become popular, he hates them and finds fault in everything they do. Like the only way to success is to “sell out” or have some sort of insincerity about you. He’s a really smart guy… but that’s the vibe I get from him about this site anyway…

The Bluff Creek Project guys ONLY want the truth. That’s ALL they want. They don’t care about feelings. They don’t care if they offend someone. Which I think is pretty commendable.
They have some long lasting feud with Dr. J as well… they seem to mutually HATE each other… I find myself leaning more to the BCP’s side because I simply cannot buy into the portal and guardian thing. Plus Johnson has twice put out photos of stumps that he “without a doubt, knows are sasquatches”… then when he gets called out… he retracts them with lame excuses.
I think Dr. J is a good guy… but he’s loving the attention. And I believe that he’s starting to fabricate information to keep the attention on himself.
And for those who don’t know, the BCP is NO fan of Sasquatch Chronicles either… and they will most likely at some point, be well known to this page as well. They frequently state that SasChron is basically as bad as the WOO people, because they think this site is all about making Sasquatch a scary monster and is basically fear mongering. I’ve discussed this with them a few times, but they do kind of insist that SasChron is a REVERSE FLUTE PLAYER SOCIETY basically. I think they are good people, but if they disagree with you… they come at you hard.
I find myself in the position of loving SasChron and yet I really enjoy engaging in intelligent discussions with the Coalition (BCP). I’m a fan of both.
Frankie.. seriously..? Someone is H-wording. I’m not even insinuating that it’s WES at all…but someone is pulling a prank or trying to pass this off as real. Either the photographer is the H-worder or he is being H-worded himself.
Wes is NOT responsible for the image, and I think he’d tell you the same: he doesn’t need people to babysit him. He can post whatever images he wants. I don’t think anyone in their RIGHT mind holds him responsible for pictures he gets. I’m glad he posts things. Like I’ve said before. Pictures make everything a little more fun.
That is very interesting. I know all those areas well. I used to live in Dryden, which is VERY near Metamora and worked in Lapeer! I now live in Carsonville, which is about 30 miles east of Marlette right on M-46. It’s a very small town, but it’s where I grew up and wanted to raise my kids there. I’m going to have to get a little more serious about the patterns and see what I can find. I’m kind of in the situation where I need to find people to go with me… and also find places that I can check out without getting shot! ha
Well, if a pic is fake, it’s fake. You can tell in the comparison that it’s not only the toenails that are the same, but the dark spots between the toes are the same… they’re from the same mold. Also, the hands are identical… and the forehead does match up pretty closely… I’m sure the hair can be messed up a bit to make it seem slightly different.
I also feel like Wes should continue to post pics that he gets. I NEVER thought that this was in any way HIS fault, or his doing. He posts the pics that are sent to him. Then we get to discuss them. It’s fun. It’s what we pay for. If he stops posting pics because the pic itself gets criticized, he’s being defeated. I don’t think Wes is defeated easily, otherwise all the crap from last winter would have made him stop. But he didn’t.
Also, it’s kind of irritating to me for someone to say that just because some of us believe it’s fake, that we are “skeptics” or the garbage that we are trying to get away from by being on this site. Someone said in an earlier post on this thread that, it shows we aren’t a bunch of dopes. That’s right, we aren’t a bunch of mindless people that believe everything our “supreme leader Wes” posts… And that’s not his intention either. He just posted some pics that were sent to him, as he should, that’s all.
We should be able to debate things without it being personal, or anger filled. I’ve not posted a lot, but for the most part this forum has been great. But if we see something that is off… then it’s our DUTY to call it out. Sorry, I’m not going to stop looking at things with a Critical eye first. I want to find that pic or video that no one can prove is fake… But if it can be shown to be fake… it should be, so that we can throw it out and move on to the next evidence that is provided.
I’m planning on getting out more as soon as it dries up. We endured a nasty/wet ice storm last night. And yes, the corn is down, so I’ll tell my brother to go check it out. I’ve gotten him interested in SasChron lately so I’m sure he’d be willing.
I always say, that this would be the perfect area for them to live. There are people here, but other than in the small towns of the area, they are pretty spread out. I have also heard weird noises off to the north of my house, but they could be cows, so I never look into it… but to be honest, pretty weird cow noises if that’s what they are.
Again, this is a HUGE mystery to me, and I’d give almost anything to SEE one. I just want to know. It’s hard to take other people’s word for it, as much as I try, one doesn’t KNOW until they see it for themselves. My sons are gaining interest in the subject too, so maybe we’ll go on some day hikes when the weather straightens up a bit… part of my problem is a deep hatred of Winter time! Not sure why I live in Michigan! Maybe If we go looking for tracks or formations, that will give me something to do! ha
Thanks everyone for being so helpful. Gum, you have a LOT of really interesting info. That post you put up of the Sanilac County incidences is so cool! There is one more from the early 80’s I think in Yale. There was a family that claimed they had one constantly going into their barn. It was really bothering their dogs and one day one of the kids went into the barn for something and was surprised by a “Huge hairy creature” standing inside. I’m not sure what happened with that story as a conclusion… but I always thought it was interesting. Also in the 80’s a man in Lexington claimed to see a “White, ape-like creature” running on all fours through his back yard. I think those accounts are on the BFRO site. I’ll double check them.
Thanks again everyone. While I’m CONVINCED the photos that started this thread are fake, I’m glad to be have such a constructive conversation with some pretty intelligent and informed people.
I live 10 minutes from that horse incident. Everyone was talking about it. Then the talking stopped. It happened in Croswell, which is where I work. The thing I heard most was a dog or coyotes. Seems fishy that it just went away really quickly.
Btw, my brother lives about 45 minutes north of me in essexville, he said he heard what sounded like “really deep laughing” in the cornfield behind his house a few weeks ago. Said he shined a spotlight out there, but didn’t see anything. He did note that his dogs would not go outside though.
