    yes agree – either this is a very cleverly crafted piece of fiction or authentic and its going to be very hard to say which.

    the idea it presents however, IMO, is worth putting in the box of hypothesises’s’s and keep in mind….

    All I did was point out the possible reason for cebidatelidae and how it aligned to thinking on species of ne world monkeys at the time.

    People were confusing some of the terms with lizards, so I thought some background may help.

    Whether or not Miller was real and classified or mis-classified Sasquatch as New World Monkey’s is another thing. Before DNA advances it was very easy to mis-classify things I think – however, it IS an interesting hypothesis, that they could be evolved from that direction. Convergent evolution is a real thing after all.

    NB : the statement “There are no apes in the new world” is not solid axiom to base any argument on.

    Is probably split cebid atelidae

    And linked by miller because “The Atelidae are one of the five families of New World monkeys now recognised. It was formerly included in the family Cebidae.”
