ParticipantBlowback, sure. I don’t mind a rebuke or correction. My feeling was that the response was so disproportional as to be shocking.
I could rehash all that happened and try to explain my intent but it would only make it worse.
I only had three posts total. 93044, then trying to explain in 93045, then 93115 asking for clarification. Happy face, even. and then this thread.

ParticipantWhen I looked at it they had a ID for feathers and I assumed maybe tracks and stuff. It’s mostly crimes against wildlife, importing banned products, that kind of thing.
I guess I shouldn’t have mentioned it. I feel somewhat ridiculed.

ParticipantClarificiation, please:
Moderator, please ‘splain me, if you would, the difference between this thread and my remark about Reo on the other thread….I had initially thought THIS thread to be against forum policy, really, but then I was chastised for a similar remark about Reo….? It’s confusing.
100% sincerely just wishing to know how to comply with policy here. No antagonism. I like it here.

MOD NOTE
It’s not confusing at all. I cited the rule to you. “1)Participants shall be respectful of other participants at all times”Why would you somehow think because of this thread (and you were not even replying in this thread when you attacked Reo) you found a loop hole to circumvent that? Your attack on him was in the same thread he was replying in, just a few replies below his. Your lead up into saying something is fishy about this guy was a question on how many babies he had — it didn’t make any sense and didn’t warrant your comment.
I’m sure you understand the word “Participant.” That’s someone who is here on this forum. Your logic is that because someone started a thread about who people think is the worst researcher is it means you have a green light to attack other participants anywhere else on the forum for any reason as long as they are doing research. That’s not logical.
But I will agree with you that I don’t care for this particular thread either; its not a very good topic since it can act as a magnet for some who will exploit it to make unsavory comments and it is time we shift focus amid the types of conversations on the forum and I’m closing this thread.

ParticipantThe something fishy remark was unrelated to the gestation comment.
Gestation is 40 weeks. July 2015 is 14 months ago, more or less. Such baby would have been born in early 2016. Is this another, then? It was merely not clear. Life being what it is, I would not inquire more into such a personal matter.
The fishy remark is a purely personal reaction to Reo’s work and posts. Not something solid one can fact-check, just my gut reaction something is wrong with the picture.

MOD NOTE
Mac, I think you could have inquired about your not well explained discrepancy without saying there is something fishy “about this guy” just below him. You write, “The fishy remark is a purely personal reaction to Reo’s work and posts.” Unless you state some good cause please adhere to rule # 1.October 20, 2016 at 12:15 am #93044Mac M
ParticipantPam, Reo’s having a baby? Is that the same one he announced in July 2015 or a new one?
Something is fishy about this guy.

ParticipantI know it sounds like I am being a jerk. I will stop mentioning it, if I can help it. lol
It’s a sasquatch specific blog, although there are some science articles/ links. I closed it because I am writing about …stuff… In some grandiose paranoia I started thinking people were filching my ideas… lol..and I am trying to write other stuff, so I have switched how I use my time. It was starting to heat up, but I need to have some of them there ducks lined up before I publish it again.

ParticipantA surprising number of people on the forum could tell you a surprising number of personal adventures, they just don’t. A few folks spill their entire stock of stories to the public, but most are less forthcoming with their accounts.
I tried to put all mine on my (now closed to the public) blog and found that I kept remembering others I should have included. Oh, yeah! I forgot about that……

ParticipantAlexander, I have listened to a LOT of their shows from a lot of different years and the stories are consistent. I do believe it. I personally have had enough experiences since my first sighting in 2011-ish to know you can have lots of experiences if you pay attention and know what’s what, where, and when.
I didn’t know sas was real until I was sort of middle-aged. These guys have known since childhood. It’s entirely possible and likely in my opinion that they tell the truth.
Obnoxious? Sometimes. So are we all, sometimes. Most of us, anyway.

ParticipantIt’s always surprising when we catch anything of them.

ParticipantAt 1:30 there is a weird color change in part of the background. An area at about 9 oclock ? changes to a noticeably lighter color for a moment…. IDK. And as you said, towards the end there is a blocking of the image by something hairy…
I posted it because if you get anything at all, it’s worth a look I always think, plus the youtuber might be worth watching.

ParticipantThis picture kind of reminds me of the Beast of Seven Chutes picture….it looks like SOMETHING, but it’s damn hard to tell what. I can’t come up with an answer I can be reasonably sure of.

ParticipantOwl = swift and silent death from above in the night. What’s not to like? Definitely a symbol of death in a lot of cultures.

ParticipantHave you called the police? If they can’t do anything, they will be able to tell you who can.
Failing that, consult an attorney.

ParticipantA friend’s high school daughter who used feathers in crafts at her home…out in their yard….found three dead bluejays arranged in a line, in perfect condition, on the sidewalk on her way home from school.
Say it with dead birds, I guess.
