ParticipantGumshoe, you are a useful person. Cases right on point.
Rob, I look forward to your information.
It takes time and thought to get to “It was a bigfoot” sometimes.
Nobody WANTS to believe it’s a bigfoot or monster of some kind, because, holy shit, what a disturbing thought. So mostly they just so WISH it was a bear.
Imagining Elmer Fudd, hunting for a wabbit, meeting up with a bigfoot:
Pwease, Lohd, let it have been a giant beah with hands. Pwease, let it have been an 8-foot polah beah weawing a gowilla mask.

ParticipantJust exploring all the possibilities. It’s easy to make a mistake, but I do agree completely with your conclusion.

ParticipantI guess we could list some earmarks of mysterious disappearance cases:
Events as recounted by authorities seem improbable, and there are gaps in information, odd circumstances, memory lapses, and illogical behaviors.
If a body is found, it is announced there will be a postmortem exam.
No news is obtainable after that.
Blame placed on bears or dog packsDisappearance may be inexplicably sudden if other people are present, takes but a moment.

ParticipantThanks for your story, Lee. A good one. That “Was it a dream?” thing is not uncommon, as I remember. Weird behavior from such a shy, reclusive creature. Paid no more attention to you kids than if you had been some nearby chickadees. Amazing.

ParticipantNot sure if it works this way…..

ParticipantSteve, can you find a picture of a peccary that will show its eyes and face like the one in the trail cam pic?

ParticipantI’d say that if it were a bear, they wouldn’t be sending in the hair samples. There was hair on the man’s shirt? That seems odd.
How far away was their house? Because the mother heard the growls from home?
Bears don’t growl THAT loudly, and if a black bear big enough to knock you down attacks you, protecting its cubs, you can play dead. Black bears do protect cubs BUT they also do predatory attacks, and if that is what it was, you don’t walk away, usually. That can get gruesome.
A leg injury, but he walked home? Well, I can’t wait to hear more detail.

ParticipantHere is an idea: somebody who is certified for human testing should go to the mall and sign up volunteers to go to a “meeting,” which meeting is a social poll and experiment. Before the meeting, tell them turm off ALL electronics. Then say, by they way before we start, did you hear the gov’t announced that bigfoot is real, etc. Then start your normal “meeting,” having people break up in groups to discuss an assigned topic. Roam around the room and eavesdrop. See what happens. Afterward tell them the BF part WAS the experiment.
Sounds dumb when I say it, but someone who was qualified could pull it off.

ParticipantI agree that G and E look close, but my pick would be F, which I think was a langur monkey. That hair is a little finer and shinier than the orang hairs.
I chose animals native to Arizona, except the apes and the girl, who is a native of Colorado.

ParticipantThat’s because most people are dead in the head.
Lifeform? Watch a lot of Star Trek?
It would affect the world, but we don’t know how. The legal ramifications if they are classed as human could sure be a bitch, though.

ParticipantDemonic means of demons or related to demons or being demons or coming from demons.
Demons are devils, which are fallen angels.
God made many many angels and the universe. There are seven levels of angelhood. One of the most important angels, the Light-Bearer or “Lucifer” decided he could do God’s job, wanted God’s job, and plotted to throw God out on His ear.
Lucifer told the others that he, Lucifer, was like God. One angel said, “WHO is like God??! As if!” After that he has been called “who is like God,” or Michael.
There was some kind of conflict, God’s angels fighting Lucifer and his angels, and God won, duh. God threw the devil Lucifer and his devil buddies, which came to 1/3 of the angels, out and down to Earth. He made hell just for them. Sometimes they hang out there, but sometimes they are elsewhere.
They are immortal and have angelic powers according to their ranks.
You have at least one guardian angel to protect you from devils. Sometimes God lets them mess with you because of your own evil influences, a curse, or for reasons only God knows.
Evil influences: find more here amorth
Hard as it may be to grasp in our day and age, many people around the world believe devils are 101% real, as are good angels, God, heaven, hell, and souls.
When people say that bigfoot could be demonic, they refer to bigfoot having so-called power to disappear, telepathy, and so on, which they think must be some magical. We don’t understand much about these creatures yet. They are smart and powerful predators, scary, and often hecka ugly, so people guess, make stuff up, explain it as best they can to themselves so they don’t go nuts.
Bigfoot could certainly be possessed or influenced by devils, so it’s possible some of them ARE demonic. It’s a very scary unknown, however you slice that cake.
Now, regarding your statements copied below:
“Now in the 21st century i find it amazing how people will use very simple analogies from a book written in a century when any conceivable understanding of technology or bionics was not even within human consciousness.”
>> The Bible is anything but simple. Technology is not all that. What the hell is bionics?
“I personally feel its a shame that people will revert to somewhat primitive view of creatures using bible/religious references.”
>> Primitive, is it? Reverting, are they? It’s a shame you are not more widely read in theology, sociology, anthropology, etc.
“Could this be because they are not open minded/educated? Well read of scientific analogies/theories.”
>> Open-mindedness is not always good and is not synonymous with having education. Nothing like. Being well read is good, but I believe most of your theologians and apologists are very widely read, yet religious. Jesuits come to mind. I doubt any of us here are well enough educated or widely enough read to become a Jesuit.
So, no, being religious does mean you are dumb or ignorant.
“I’m not having ago at them just saying perhaps a religious view point is shrouding/mystifying/causing naive viewpoints/stigmatising what could essentially be a new life form?”
>> Religion does not want to shroud, mystify, or stigmatize bigfoot. Some people expect that, but oh please. Bigfoot does all that to himself. By the way stigma
“I’m just asking people not really on there upbringing when considering possibilities in regards to the origins of some of the species being seen.”

ParticipantYes, Lee, please share. I love encounter stories. I bet the other members do, too.
At first I thought it was an owl, like a barn owl maybe, but I researched whether owl eyes have visible sclera, and it appears they don’t. I looked at close-up face pictures of all the species of owl native to the US and could not find anything even close.
Here is a fur or hair quiz. Which ones do you think most resemble the one at top?

ParticipantI am going to see Tracy his mirror images and raise him a whole face, sorta.
