ParticipantWhy would a bf bite off an arm then leave? Knowing the Aron Ralston story, which is verified and very well known given there was a film made about it, this story of losing an arm in the wilderness by any means at all and making it to safety alive without the requisite details seems not credible to me. Good campfire story for teenagers, but otherwise I agree with Nathan, and I’m sorry to hear other people condescend to him for asserting his opinion over concerns of credibility and site image. Thanks, joe r for the back story; I was wondering about the post as well. The reasons for my questioning it have to do with credible survival after losing an arm in the wilderness.

ParticipantThanks for your input, Knobby. It sounds like you have already researched this situation pretty well, as I have not had the opportunity to. I appreciate your input, information, and views.

ParticipantMark B, thanks. If Standing=Rockwell and the claims are correct, that’s pretty damning. Btw, this week I finally read through the Reddit stuff and found it disturbing. I’m not saying that to start a fight or even a discussion, or to break the rules. I’m not trash talking, just being honest. I just think that if there is contrary evidence to sensational claims, it’s not wise to ignore it in the name of blind faith. I’m not opposed to blind faith; I just feel that contrary evidence trumps it. Am still a fan, but…geez.

ParticipantBest wishes to you and others up there, Pam, as you manage the wildfires. I always think of the wildlife too, in these deadly fire seasons. Here’s an event from here in Arizona earlier this month: http://www.havasunews.com/news/burro-seeks-comfort-with-desert-hills-firefighters-battling-willow-fire/article_bdbf89d8-3fcc-11e5-93f9-93d6c1d18b22.html

ParticipantPapa-Yeti, like syphilis in Tuskegee or smallpox in free blankets to Native Americans or the AIDS virus? Naw, our government would never do such things. It’s only horrible Nazi scientists who would do such things. Right?

ParticipantYes, a PM feature is better than email and should be achievable on a membership side of a site like this. Thanks, Knobby.

ParticipantExactly, Knobby. The DNA would show that.

ParticipantI think this is a great suggestion to Forum moderators, whom I hope are listening in. More than once since I’ve been exploring the forums and engaging in conversations, I have wished I could privately send a message but there is no way for that in the profiles. However, it would be nice to have that as an option on the profile pages.

ParticipantThat makes sense from everything I’ve heard, and given that reports of sasquatch are that they are extremely fast, fluid, adept, physically versatile, incredibly smart, and may even have other heightened physical abilities to our own, they seem highly evolved. Highly evolved doesn’t sound equivalent to inbreeding given what is medically known. Thanks for the medical insight on this question, Farrell.

ParticipantThank you, Blake. Sometimes I find non-American reports more fascinating than American ones. Maybe it’s a (perhaps false) notion that there is less hoaxing and drama outside the U.S. than we face here. Thanks for sharing the source as well as the single report.

ParticipantI find the many, many instances of wild animals seeking humans out when they are in trouble to be incredibly fascinating. Thank you for sharing. I’m interested in hearing other experiences of yours, Michael.

ParticipantI misunderstood the description on that link. Kirk Stokes was interviewed by Vic Cundiff. If you want to hear the story without the background noise in the Sawin video, he was on Episode 17 of Dogman Encounters Radio: http://hwcdn.libsyn.com/p/b/e/4/be440b4fa54ca2f6/Dogman_Encounters_Episode_17.mp3?c_id=7921192&expiration=1440899586&hwt=1dd585cc010000979551d1f38e056898

ParticipantPapa-Y, I just recently discovered Sawin and I get what you mean by “if you can bear with him” if you mean beyond the background noise in this vid. I have found some interesting things in his videos, though I do have to “bear with” the constant relating to scripture, but that’s just me. It works for him (and I’m sure many of his listeners and even people who will read this comment), so that’s fine. I’m going to cue this up right now. I have listened to all of Vic’s interviews of others on his site, but never heard him being interviewed.
The dogman stuff is absolutely fascinating. Did you catch last night’s show over at Vic’s site? Crazy stuff. Guest is a great storyteller and very believable (I thought) regarding the stories he’s collected over the years from his friends, along with his own experience. Can’t wait for Part 2.
