@kim–
I would love to come and see you and your wife on the beach…..we would have so much to talk about! Unfortunately, the last vacation I took my longtime patient had a psychotic break and drilled holes in her ceiling 😯. It took 3 months (which resulted in a case of shingles) to get her back on track. 😉
You guys watch a sunset for me…Read more

@Kim – I am such a bore … Lol. Thank you for the offer my friend but I do not like travelling. I never had the nomadic spirit like the rest of my family. I am struggling with whether or not I should go out west to visit my sick Mommma, but as I said, I do not like to travel.
Last summer I was down in South Carolina on the beach. It was too…Read more

@Kim – Interesting thoughts. In chess we call it, En Passant capture. (French word) meaning a move by only pawns. We are the lowly pawns. Whoever the gent was apparently did what he thought necessary because after all, “We all know there no hairy beast,” right? I mean isn’t that what NPS tells people?
The pawn probably captures the day as in…Read more

Good morning Paul,
Beth and I, are getting our nerve up, to attempt posting some pics, again.
I want to show some of these distinctivly figured cores, you’ll see immediately why I say you could possibly match a completed artifact to the core it was struck from.So what, precisely did I misunderstand about what you said? I did associate t…Read more

@Kim imgur.com is a good place to upload images for use in forums if you have issues with getting them to show here. I used to use photobucket, but they are going downhill in a hurry.

@Kim
I doubt anyone could with any certainty, excepting only crude blade flakes. Most caches I have ever heard of were usually either a small collection of cores ready to have blades flaked from them, or a small pile of blades from an already flaked core with a few other cores. The problem with the notion is that the blades are fragile, more…Read more -

It is why I spend most of the time I dedicate to the subject here, considering all of the places on the net available. Most other places I have been, assertion passing for fact (true because I say its true), or the cult of personality (true because some supposed BF expert says it’s true) seems to be the rule of precedence.We all do have a…Read more

@Kim These critters have piqued my interest as well, but more on a level of my survival knowledge. It is a necessity to know what animals/creatures you may encounter and know enough about said critter to know their capabilities as well as their potential threat status and how to deal/act/react around/with/towards them while in the same territory.…Read more

Your ‘metal tearing’ comment got my attention-
The scream I heard the afternoon I surprised one resting was the most shrill, metallic high and low pitched, God awful sound I’ve ever heard!I honestly still can not fatham an animal not human being capable of producing that.
I said it reminded me of a giant aluminum coke can getting crushed.

@Kim Something for you to ponder. Maybe they have been finding BF artifacts all the while. Consider folsom points. Assumed to be a primitive spear point, but suitable i both shape and thickness for an arrow… a really large arrow. Pretty thin in actuality for a good spearhead.

@Kim the only way I’d be able to take credit for writing that is if I had too much to drink lol.
That same user budrock has a bunch of shocking posts. I didn’t stick around that sub for too long. It reminded me why I don’t have a reddit account.

@DeniseF The stuff inside the house actually sounds more like demonic activity than anything else.
@Kim It was a misunderstanding between us then.
Numerous reports have them making/using various tools from time to time. That doodle could be of something seen as you stated, such as a bow and arrow. It could be something like an animal as well.…Read more

it’s okay. I know you didn’t invent the idea. I was not getting on your case — the post was quite literal. I really would like to know the scientists who came up with the idea. All I know is the rough origins of the concept.
The origins were back when science was trying hard to justify human superiority in comparison to animals, as the…Read more

@Kim I have heard it before, but what makes anyone think even a chimp doesn’t somehow have manual dexterity? A flea is smaller than a grain of rice, yet chimps, gorillas orangs, and other apes, not to mention monkeys, routinely catch and pick these tiny moving objects out of the fur of others.
You probably never thought about that is why I bring…Read more

@Kim C.L.
Shooting rifle bullets into the air is stupid. That neighbor of yours has no clue where they are landing, or what they are hitting when they land. Old rule:
Never point a gun at anything unless you intend to shoot.
Never shoot unless you intend to kill.Some people need the training to teach them that guns are tools, not toys.
