    FWIW I strongly agree with those who have said training and shot placement are more important than brute force. I’m an older guy and have some arthritis in my hands–the right hand is worse than the left. So I can’t handle much more than a .357 and still be reasonably accurate. I’ve taken at least one practical shooting course a year for the last 16 years straight. I learned that in an emergency, people will automatically revert to their training. So I concentrate on practicing what I’ve learned in the courses. I own an older Colt .357 with a six-inch barrel that I really love, and I can actually hit stuff with it, so that’s what I carry in the woods if I’m not already toting a shotgun or a rifle. The Colt isn’t my EDC–I have to have effective concealment because of my job so I use a Beretta 3032 Tomcat in a DeSantis pocket holster. Accurate for a mouse gun and utterly reliable. I’d recommend it to anyone with arthritis issues.
