Yes, the virus can be suspended in the air for multiple hours. It does not die after being coughed, sneezed, even breathed out of your lungs. Just like any other virus, 6 feet of social distancing is probably not enough to keep from breathing it from a cough and certainly not a sneeze which comes out at a much faster speed. 12 feet is way better. The info from authorities is already hard to comply to,think what it would be if they stated 12’. Simply put dont go out without a mask. A N 95 is best it blocks the virus, particle size wise effectively. But these are needed for the health care community as they are surly up close & personal to the virus daily. So next best thing is a surgical mask or home made version. But letting medical professional have the N95 masks we are short of you essentially protect your self & family as they will be your caretakers if you get sick. Best thing to do is stay home, do not go outside your home, yard, property except for food. Go as less often as you can. Shop for multiple weeks.wipe down groceries packaging with Clorox or other disinfectant, carefully wash Frits and vegetables. Consider anything anyone has touched as contaminated and clean & or leave it untouched by you and family( especially kids)for multiple days. I do this for at least a week and a half,as some are saying virus can last up to 9 days on “ things”. Depends on surface, temp, humidity etc. freezer, friderator actually prolongs virus life. Maybe ration your food a little. Remember everyone needs stuff, ie ( no toilet paper hoarding)use less. Going out and acting normally will spread the virus, cause more deaths.we are not in a prepared state in hospitals to take care of hundreds and hundreds of sick people. Still not enough, ventilators, masks, gowns, test supplies, doctors, nurses, beds, units.firemen ,paramedics,X-ray techs.respiratory therapists etc. to care for mass cases. This virus does not just kill elderly or people with existing” bad health” conditions. 20 pounds over weight, allergies, asthma are pre- existing conditions. It could easily be you or your family member who needs a ventilator, doesn’t survive this. I am not trying to scare people, just want the medical truth to be known.you can then judge wisely from a s identification knowledge base not rumor or lies or others opinions. I’m a baccalaureate degrees nurse with public health nursing credentials and have a kid who is a Dr. primary care health provider. We get our facts from medical/ scientific sources. Not political pundits. We have no incentive or reason to lie. No reason to put a positive spin on anything,or a negative one either. Stay safe, make wise choices. And opening up the country to “ normal behavior” too soon, will cost many lives, possibly multiples of millions. So every single person doing their part protects every other person on the planet. That’s why it’s called a “ GLOBAL PANDEMIC.” some proposing to save the economy are correct, it would make money flow better, but if you or your loved ones is one of the millions to die, you probably won’t care or be able to enjoy any economy. So my choice is to act on advice of the medical experts/ scientists. That’s what all medical people believe. We have seen enough death and grieving families.

Hey Wes, with this horrible virus and all of us basically staying home as much as possible, to stay well we are needing extra episodes to get our minds off of it. How about trying to do some updates on some of the really cool encounters. I’ve been listening to past episodes since I’m a newer member & obviously some of my favorites I’m revisiting. Can’t help but wonder for example about Matt and Micks crazy situation from Like episode 237 I think. Definitely need a update on that one. Thanks Buddy
