ParticipantSurveillance has become ubiquitous, mostly for purposes of targeted marketing. How many times have you had a conversation only to see ads pop up on your social media feed that coincidentally pertain to a topic you were just discussing? My brother, for instance, was relating to me that his kidneys were beginning to fail and shortly thereafter began getting ads for urologic medications.
This happens because we’re always “connected” via devices that are always listening…Siri, Alexa, etc…and as much as the purveyors of those luxuries want to claim that an activation word/phrase is required, these convenient coincidents still happen. As always, behaviors reveal the truth.
It will only get worse as 5G rolls out. Makes life easy for those doing the surveillance – which has heretofore been more art than science. Now, one’s every move can be tracked so long as the sensor-packed device is in his/her pocket/purse.
“Smart” anything is exploitable, and each individual has behavioral signatures unique to him/her. The electronic emanations of a vehicle make it possible to identify individual drivers to 80+% accuracy by only reading the brake data, and higher accuracy if the whole gamut of wireless, Bluetooth emanations are being read. I forget which one, but a University did that study a couple of years ago – can probably Google it…and Google will register the search as part of your online pattern of life. Behaviors, given enough time, will compromise you every time.
So, in order to know you’re being watched, assume that you are.
Edit: the question is “who” is watching. In order for a government agency (LE/Intel) to do it there are legal thresholds that have to be met. There must be at least Reasonable Suspicion. But a corporation that seems to do targeted marketing on you has no such legal threshold, and that type of surveillance dwarfs the former in volume nowadays.

ParticipantCompletely agree, Gum. Good observation. The “payout,” real or potential, isn’t worth the risk. Just another social engineering trick to take people’s money.
Like the 20 or so voicemails I’ve received the last few days, telling me if I don’t call a toll free number and verify my SSN, an arrest warrant will be issued for me. I guess people do it, or they wouldn’t continue the scam. Some are easily identified, but they’re getting increasingly sophisticated.
Not that USA Today, Forbes, et Al are in the business of scamming people…maybe it’s a legit thing. But it’s another avenue of approach for the people that DO make a dishonest living, and just not worth the risk.

ParticipantIf you like Paranormal stuff, “Haunted” is pretty entertaining. Some dramatic music, sound, and tones but the interviews are pretty straightforward. I also like that he includes the “skeptic” point of view, even though it’s a reach sometimes.

ParticipantIn fairness, my issue wasn’t with Tony or his platform. The story is fantasy that Goode tried to get rich off of and sidelined the credibility of the UFO research genre until he was publicly called out this past Fall.
A little more vetting of guests and their accounts would do several shows some good.

ParticipantNot buying this one. It’s a rendition of Corey Goode’s “20 and Back” story. If that’s the direction the Confessionals is going, I’ll pass on anything further.

ParticipantSome interesting reading on that website, dating back a couple of years, which Meldrum addresses as if it’s common knowledge. Must be going for disclosure via Mandela Effect.

ParticipantAbout 20 minutes in and I haven’t heard anything credible yet. No wonder BDRP had to air over an hour of damage control – insulting people’s intelligence is detrimental to one’s view metrics.

ParticipantThe ambulance encounter was one of my favorites. Also liked the LBL multiple encounters. I’ll have to mine the archives to figure out the episode numbers.

ParticipantThe thumbnail pic looks exactly like the thing I saw during a sleep paralysis episode once. Creepy.

ParticipantYou’re right – he has been saying much of it for some time. Repetition is a form a persuasion. The more often something is repeated, the higher the likelihood people will accept it as given. I don’t know that I would agree he knows more than anyone – he just makes more assertions. I’m sure he’s familiar with all manner of technical details and has a keen analytical mind – but even those can run away with people and I think that’s the case in his “conspiracy” story. It just sounds like gossip to me.
All that said, I acknowledge I could be the one who’s entirely wrong and if there’s a case to be made for what he says, I’ll adjust as appropriate.

ParticipantI’m 25 min into the discussion. I hope Davis has some sourcing to go along with his claims. The sound byte about the dog is unintelligible except for one line, and could be attributable to a million discussions other than Bigfoot. He’s throwing shade on Patterson & Gimlin in one breath, saying “the cowboy story would be good if it were true,” yet in the next breath saying neither of them were aware of Green and company being down there. Well…which is it?
Minnesota Ice Man is a casualty of Bluff Creek? That must be how the Mandela Effect gets started.
Yeah, count me with the skeptics. I’ve heard Bob Gimlin tell his story a few times, and he’s always been very matter of fact – never an effort to ‘convince’ the listener. All I hear from Davis is ‘convincing’ language – he’s trying to influence rather than inform.
I’ll listen to the rest of it in hopes Davis makes me come back here and eat crow. If not, I ain’t waisting my time with pt. 2. I’d be insulted if I was Bob Gimlin…cherry picking quotes to support his sensational claim, and DD eating it all up – because controversy equals clicks.

ParticipantGSG let me make you a message of boiled peanuts and I’ll convert you. Ones you had probably boiled too long. Traditionally made with plain old salt, but a good shrimp & crab boil gives em a good kick, and if the consistency is right, you can’t stop eating them.
