ParticipantVery thought-provoking. I’m a vivid dreamer, too, but mine are just a different life, kind of like a different dimension of my life in the here and now. I often tell people I love to sleep because I have a whole other life in my dreams. Nothing remotely like what you describe, though. I don’t think I would be so anxious to have dreams like that. You’re very brave.

ParticipantWhen I was about eight years old, I was invited to dinner at a friends house. While I was setting silverware on the table, she was In the kitchen on the other side of the wall getting plates when I saw a ball of light about the size of a bowling ball come through the kitchen wall into the dining room, fly over my head, and exit through the wall into the living room. When I ran around the corner to the kitchen to tell my friend, I bumped 8nto her coming from the kitchen with huge shocked eyes. She had seen the same thing come from the outside, across the kitchen, and through the dining room wall. To this day, I don’t know what it was we saw. Could have been ball lightning, but wouldn’t that have left a scorch mark on the Wall?? Any ideas?

ParticipantNo, Scott, you aren’t. I, though I am a believer and fascinated by the subject, don’t ever want to see one. I don’t have the courage, for one, and for all the other reasons it’s because everyone says how much it’s changed their lives. And not usually for the better.

ParticipantNeil deGrass Tyson has an excellent five minute discourse on why an alien being wouldn’t even give us a second thought, any more than we would consider discussing things with a worm. I just don’t know how to post the link, but if you go to YouTube and look for “a disturbing thought” by Tyson you will find the video. Very thought-provoking.

ParticipantWalt, I just loved your story! Would be great as a young reader story, I think.
Gumshoguy, I think that account is California Gorillas and it took place in Contra Costa county. I read it in “Bigfoot West Coast Wildmen” by Timothy Renner. I remember this particular story because my office is on Crow Canyon Road in San Ramon, only a few miles from where this took place, so naturally, I am fascinated by it. IMO, just because the area is now heavily populated doesn’t mean they are gone from the area. If you Google the map for San Ramon California, you’ll see plenty of wild area left. Food and water are abundant. I’m just saying…

ParticipantFor me, it was the tiny little insignificant details that led me to believe he was telling the truth. Not even referring to Sasquatch, but it’s the little things like, “he turned right at the bottom of the stairs”, or something like that. That’s not meant to be an accurate quote from the narrative, rather an example of what I mean by insignificant.

ParticipantBorn in California, but have lived in Arizona, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Japan. Currently living in the East Bay Area of northern CA. I’m a total suburbs type of girl, but I went camping…ONCE!! Total woods novice which is why I so enjoy all the stories and descriptions of those of you who are so much more adventuresome than I. I believe. I just don’t want to see one. ??

ParticipantAnd I’m just the opposite. I have moved…a LOT! I’m at 34 houses in my life and counting. Why? I don’t do windows. When the windows get dirty it’s time to move. ? (Not really. Life just happens. But it makes me a really good Realtor because I can honestly tell my clients I KNOW how you feel.)

ParticipantSteven B. thank you so much for that tidbit about S.H.I.T. origins. I’m going to add that to my repertoire. I found out where the F word came from. Basically it was a taunt by the French to the Brits during a medieval war where they cut the middle finger off the captured bowmen using superior yew tree bows, so they couldn’t “pluck yew”. They would hold up their own middle fingers from the ramparts while chanting.

ParticipantThanks for all the good suggestions. I have a lotta listening to do before we leave so I can choose. LDL is one of my favorites but it is so scary that I’m afraid she wouldn’t believe it. I don’t remember Tracy G’s encounter. Does anyone remember what episode it is? Good suggestion about the state. We are in CA, so there are lots to choose from. What surprises me is how many encounters there are three of Ohio! Keep the suggestions coming, please. It serves to remind me of some of the best episodes that I would like to re-listen to going back-and-forth to work.?

ParticipantI’m going. My first conference. So looking forward to being able to talk about Bigfoot and Sasquatch. My Family and friends just won’t have it. My daughter shuts me down, my friends just laugh at me.
