ParticipantOne of my most significant and exilerating Bigfoot experiences came while camping in a state forest, I have a difficult time sleeping even when I’m not camping so needless to say I was awake most of the night. At around 3am I’m just awake in my tent listening what sounded like two owls when all of a sudden the forest just erupted into what sounded like people or something doing their worst owl imitations possible it’s ounded like about 3 or so individuals though I can’t be sure of course and it definitely was not owls and I seriously doubt it was people because of how loud it was and the fact that the only other people in the campground were far off and in the other direction of where these vocals came from. I was just kind of in shock and definitely didn’t want to leave the tent at 3am in pitch black with only a pistol so I stayed put and in about 10 minutes the owls started doing their thing again.

ParticipantI like his YouTube vids too and I agree with him that this is a very descriptive and if true important sighting and the anatomical similarities to other encounters and known anatomy of great apes is hard to ignore. Bob raises a lot of good points and has a pretty analytical and practical way of looking at things.

ParticipantI’m not sure, I would punch it into google earth and check the terrain out that way. I only saw old Taylor road, well from the road. my son and I passed through there over last summer and I just had to stop in Taylor to see it. If I hadn’t had my son there I probably would have stayed until dark and walked around or camped out, but I’d never put my son in danger even though he is fascinated with Dogman as am I. That being said your life is yours to do what you want to with so I’m not gonna lecture you on safety, however I’d hate to see anything happen to you because then you will have lost your life for nothing as I’m sure the cops, feds or men in Black that show up to clean up the mess. Unless you do like you said and stream it live. Good luck.

ParticipantI believe that this incident really did happen. I’ve always been told all my life there’s three different versions of every story yours, there’s and the truth, what the truth is in this one we may never know but any way you look at it this is a very sad story about a family that we’re just enjoying the outdoors and had there lives brought to a sudden vicious end. I can handle adult lose of life but being a parent it kill me to hear of an innocent child losing their life so terribly. This is why when I go camping with my son I bring my lever action 45-70 Government which I assure you will put one of these creatures down and my Glock 20 10mm loaded with heavy hard cast lead rounds as my last resort. I don’t take any chances with my life or my sons and I would fight to my last dying breath to make sure he was safe. Be careful out there people, these creatures aren’t all savage bloodthirsty kilees but there are some that are so keep your head on a swivel when you’re out in the woods because they can close the distance and be on top of you before you even know they are there, and I’m not just talking about the cryptids we all talk about here, mountain lions are all over the United States and they are deadly dangerous if you surprise one or come across one unde the right circumstances.

ParticipantThat’s nuts that they are so concerned about Bigfoot research in the Sam Houston. And I don’t buy their statement that they’ve had “trouble” with bigfooters in the area because in my experience most of the people I know that research Bigfoot are very conscientious of the rules and regs of the forest and make it a point to stay off of people’s property and such. I think this has more to do with them (The FS) not wanting these creatures discovered or riled up by people researching them. It’s actually kind of infuriating that Law Enforcement feels they have the right to tell us to stay out of the national forests when we are just there to enjoy the splendor and mystery of the forest. I bet if we were bird watching they’d leave us alone.

ParticipantHey Frank and Toomuch,
Keep me in the loop with what you guys are planning if you are ok with a 3rd man out there in the field. I live a little further away than Toomuch but I’ll make the trip to meet you guys down there and hit the woods with you to do some research, this stuff is my semi obsession and I want to just get out there and meet cool people as learn from them and share what I know as well. Keep me posted bigdanny322@yahoo.comApril 9, 2017 at 4:32 pm #102845Daniel D
ParticipantI was just watching this the other day. Good encounter, this guy seems sincere.

ParticipantI’ve got a trip to LBL coming up, early summer. I’m headed to the Northern end so I wanna be prepared, I’m thinking I’ll bring my mossberg 590A1 loaded with 1 ounce slugs and my Glock 20 loaded with 200 grain hardcast and a change of underwear in case I actually do run into a dogman and live to tell about it.

ParticipantShannon, I’ve got a bone stock Windham Weaponry SRC 308, with a quad rail, Harris bipod and a Nikon M-308 optic, nothing to special but definitely a good starting point to build from which is my plan, I’ll be putting a match grade barrel aftermarket trigger. I’m picking up a Sig Sauer 716 in a couple weeks and if it shoots any where near as well as the Sig 516 that I own does I’ll be happy with slapping a Geissele trigger in it, a taclight/ laser and a good optic and I’m good to go. I wouldn’t mind picking up a 50 Beowulf for squatching since that’s a pretty devastating round inside of 100 yards yet still surprisingly manageable.

ParticipantI love it I’m getting one! Slap a 45 degree iron sight or red dot on top for Close Quarters Combat AKA squatchy or Mr. Dogman surprises you up close and you gotta get off a shot at close range and it’s complete. I’m kidding actually I’d rather have my more manageable .308 caliber AR with the same set up I spoke about or an ACOG sight because in the woods most engagements will be inside of 100 yards, and I assure you with proper shot placement that .308 will do the job. That is a sweet gun though.

ParticipantHey Pam, this is a little off topic but I heard your encounter in Northwest Arkansas on Dukes show and I wanted to tell you this. I am from Springdale AR originally and grew up for a good time in Rogers Arkansas where your ex husband was treated at the hospital after nearly drowning. My father is a life long resident of that area and a hunter and outdoorsman. I would love to tell you about his encounter with a similar creature not but maybe a mile or so from beaver Dam right before they flooded the valley to make the lake. There’s a lot more history of sightings and the locals even gave the creature a name after A town that was flooded to make the lake. I loved your encounter by the way! You can contact me via e-mail if you’d like at: bigdanny322@yahoo.com or and I’d be happy to recount the encounter my father had and give you some of the history surrounding this particular creature. Thank Pam. Daniel

ParticipantI used to enjoy his stuff at first but after the way he treated Vic Cundiff over a guest on Vic’s show questioning a researcher that DW happened to be buddies with supposedly, I’ve lost any desire to listen to the rankings of DW, The dude is just moronic and I can’t stand him.

ParticipantI believe without having the experience but for a very good reason. I grew up in Arkansas and my father had an encounter as a young man with some of his cousins. I believe my father 100% because to say he is an avid outdoorsman is an understatement, so no chance of misidentification of the creature at les than 50 yards. That coupled with the fact that getting him to talk about his experience is like pulling teeth. I’m willing to take some things on faith in this world and I always say that I hope to god there is still some mystery left in this world otherwise what’s there left to live for? I have yet to have a sighting myself but I’ve had bipedal footsteps outside my tent precluding a classic wood knock and I’m hoping to have that sighting someday soon.
