ParticipantI don’t envy Wes’s fight to get these taken down. Internet piracy is just such a huge task that even with one shut down two more always seem to pop up. Getting legal help should help a bit, but unfortunately at a cost. Keep fighting the good fight and keep counting on my (and others) financial support.

ParticipantI have always had a fascination with the unknown. I’ve never had a sighting and I’ve never saw anything “out of this world” or had a “what the hell was that” moment. But I have always been interested in the things that “we don’t know”. Growing up in a logging town in the middle of nowhere, I got to spend a lot of time playing in the woods. That along with camping likely spurred my love and interest of the environment. That grew into what I would later study in post secondary education, which then as a pastime grew into more & more interest in cryptozoology.
While I don’t have a belief that everything that’s been reported exists (ex: Loch Ness Monster), I think at this point in my opinion it’s safe for me to presume that Sasquatch exists in one form or another. As someone who is interested in the unknown this really peaks my interest, and hopefully one day (sooner rather than later) we’ll have the “physical” evidence to understand just what exactly they are.

ParticipantWhat I think today may not be what I think tomorrow. I’m always open to changing opinion based on evidence. Right now I do believe it’s a flesh and blood creature of sorts. While primate like, I do believe they’re more than just a simple “ape”. Whatever they are they have been around for a very long time, and to me seem to have evolved along side of us (per say). My suspicion is that a long time back they may have been more visible given the frequency of their involvement in stories by native Americans both in Canada and the U.S. But as the world has progressed and evolved around them, they’ve evolved to become more and more recluse. I’m convinced that there’s some sort of cover up from knowing their existence. Why still remains a large debate in my mind. A lot of potential reasons and just not enough evidence for me to lean one way or another.
I also am of the belief that there could be differences among them based on the biome/location they live in. This would explain why similarities in traits for certain areas may not be present in others. Often times in nature animals will develop over time specific traits to help them survive & thrive in certain environments. While I won’t call them “animals” (because they are more than simply a primate), to me the features in certain areas are likely the reason they’ve developed those specific traits. Thus the differentiation between witness reports from area to area.

ParticipantThanks for the warm welcome. I’m originally from up in the Sudbury area, and lived up in Sault Ste. Marie for a few years. Moved down to GTA area a few years back (Whitby/Oshawa area). My fav area has always been Manitoulin Island. Love it there, don’t get to spend nearly as much time as I’d like there.
