ParticipantDoes anyone know if Wes has seen this? I sure would like to hear Bob’s side of this story, would you?
And… who has all the film of dead Sasquatches?!?

ParticipantYou bet, Michelle L! I know Clint, and he is solid! 🙂

ParticipantAgreed, “toomuch”. Clint is a true artist in his own work, so I am sure it will be done well. Btw, on Strange Familiars I believe Clint mentions that anyone who donates gets a digital copy of the documentary. Don’t quote me, because my old brain may be making things up…. but I’m pretty sure that’s what he said. 🙂

ParticipantI’d cut it up into several sections, and divide as follows:
One part to the University of Maine (where I live)
One part (the feet) to Jeff Meldrum
One part to the local news
One part to Wes (because he deserves one)
And if there’s any parts left over… they would go to the North American Wood Ape Conservancy (so they don’t have to shoot another one).Oh, and one for the freezer, in an undisclosed location… for safe keeping.

ParticipantLawrence, that is simply wonderful! But there must be an existing relationship or something between the humans and lynx, yes? Look at all those little paw prints.
At least, here in Maine they are like ghosts. Very rare indeed. (Granted, folks hunted them to extinction here, but are now protected and coming back.)

ParticipantOh yeah, we have many fisher cats here! I love them (and fear for my kitty… but, you the the saying, live by the sword, die by the sword).
I’m near Bath. 🙂

ParticipantAgreed, Celia. The part that weirded me out the most was how human it sounded. I am pretty familiar with most of the weird sounds in our woods (here in Maine)… But lynx are way up north from the coast (where I am). So I didn’t realize they could make such strange sounds. I know porcupine, gray and red foxes, coywolves, moose, bobcats and such… which can all make some startling sounds. But now I’m glad we don’t have lynx visiting our woods. Lol

ParticipantKnobby, the podcast is well worth a listen. Yes, they are pro-kill, and yes… they believe it is a North American ape, non-hominid (I believe). While I am still on the fence regarding kill/no kill, I still believe that that NAWAC is working hard to present evidence (ie proof) that the scientific community will accept. Their protocols are strong and adhered to, which is vital if Sasquatch is to be recognized by “science”.

ParticipantPam, this may already have been suggested, but I would recommend going to MUFON and report your sighting. Orange orbs are a very common phenomenon. (I say three myself, here in Maine, years ago. A pilot saw them a day before in Maine too.)
Here’s the link… http://www.mufon.com
To see other orange orb reports (including mine) go to “Track UFOs”, then “Search Database”, where you can filter for orbs, as well as region and time, etc.

ParticipantKnobby, are you saying this exact story is just a repeat of the same “bear” paw find that was verified by science? Don’t get me wrong, I know that happens all the time. But, why would the writer of the story name a police chief, saying he sent the foot to a medical examiner? (Whom, I might add, might not be the best person to say it’s a bear. I would imagine they are only qualified to say if it’s human or not.)
Heck, now I’m gonna have to dig a bit deeper. *sigh* 😉

ParticipantSweet! That would make up for lack of range, imo. At least you can see heat sigs beneath the trees… 🙂

ParticipantSteven and Christopher… you guys are too funny!
I love the Ebola idea. If I didn’t live in the deep woods where the only folks who might peak at my wifi are fox and bears, I just might rename it Ebola!Glad there are folks out there with a *cough* healthy sense of humor. ;P
