That’s actually VERY true. Good point. I guess what what I’m doing is just for personal knowledge. But I like your way of thinking. lol

Yeah, I’ve used their s8ghtings map for reference before. Not sure I’d even call what I’m doing research. I was more so looking for specific locations. Like, the main bridge on highway “X”, or recreational area 14… that type of info. But thanks!

I’m very interested in the accounts of the secluded biker bar in TX that I’ve heard referenced on the show several times. The road leading to it is said to have alot of agressive activity. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to find any information online, other than what has been provided in a couple of episodes here.

I’m actually ashamed that I’m a native Texan, and didn’t know that the entire southeastern portion of Texas was known as The Big Thicket. I assumed it was just the actual game preserve.

Ah, I see. I assumed that all the times Wes referred to the Big Thicket, that he was speaking about the actual Big Thicket game preserve. Especially since that was the area that Bob and company had experienced being rolled in on and harassed.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really appreciate it.

Steven, that road I mentioned is in the Big Thicket. The game preserve that runs parallel to 287, just east. Between Woodville and Koontz.

Lol, yeah. I’m going to talk to him more today. He said she was very dirty. Long, matted hair. When she saw him, she bolted. He saw her from a pretty good distance. I think his brain tried to rationalize, as Wes often says. Very good chance that he saw a Sasquatch. In my opinion.

Shirley, I believe they venture into my area on occasion. But my county and surrounding counties lack the cover to allow them to stay for any extended amount of time. I believe they just kind of pass through, on occasion.

I’ve checked out Google Earth. We have wooded areas. But no true forests here.

That being said, a friend of mine that lives in a pretty isolated area said that he saw what appeared to be a “wild woman” one day while he was hunting last year. I’m going to talk to him about it a bit more today. Possibly even go out there and look for tree breaks or any kind of structures.

Even my town is isolated. Only 4000 population. Very small and rural. The nearest town is 12 miles away.

Thanks for the responses. I began thinking after I posted, that I may have sounded incredibly insensitive to the people who actually HAVE had an encounter. Man, I think I literally would lose it if I did.

I’ve only talked to one person who believes. That was a woman I dated briefly a couple of years ago. She had pics of very impressive footprints on her property. She lives near a landfill.

There have been very sporadic reports in my area of Texas. I’m east of Waco, just on the fringe of what many believe is the most active area in the U.S…. That being east/southeast TX. I’m actually very surprised there isn’t a larger discussion of Sasquatch in this part of the country.

But yes, I try to remain calm and just tell myself that I’m actually the one who is “connected” to reality. It’s the naysayers who are disconnected. I believe 1000% that these things exist. It just feels so surreal at times.
