This episode COULD be it. It does seem like the one I remember talked about it tearing the bark off of the tree after hearing the animals inside instead of pushing the whole tree over.

I could be wrong, I’ve listened to so many while working, I get them blurred easily.

It was one that saw a sasquatch specifically tearing the bark off of the tree after hitting it to listen for creatures inside.
