Darrell B thank you for your reply, very true the chances of a encounter are less than 0.0001% but like you say just having the opportunity to visit the habitats these creatures call home will be more than enough to satisfy my interest. Your national forests are beautiful and have been on my bucket list for such a long time now. I’m hoping to travel in late summer/early autumn and will be solo. I will have to be very careful not to get too carried away on the trails, I am an avid outdoorsman but your terrain and forests are on a super scale compared to what I’m used to. It’s almost impossible to get lost in the uk. I have a lot more planning to do prior to this trip and appreciate your knowledge

    Many thanks

Thankyou guys for the replies very much appreciated!

M99 I currently follow the Sasquatch encounters here in the UK, our term for these ‘woodwose’ smaller in stature and far less elusive than the US. To be very honest with our country being so small with no where near the amount of wilderness it’s kind of hard to believe 100% but who am I to say. I dont doubt anyone here who have had encounters.
The US I believe for certain and this has fueled my interest to visit. Not only for a hopeful encounter myself but to experience your wonderful country and the people who call it home.

Gary R I have definitely had California and Oregon on my mind for a couple of years now and like you said there is so many different destinations to possibly choose I am having a hard time finding one to visit 😅 I will most definitely contact you if I’m around Yosemite area, this would make things so much easier as I have never visited the US and would probably be taking a stab in the dark without you and the fellow member’s knowledge.

    Again Thankyou for your replies

    Andrew

Thanks for the reply, PA is definitely a contender. As for the government situation things aren’t all that good here in the UK, being a Sasquatch is quite appealing come to think of it they really don’t know how lucky they are!
