    fair point Steven, i don’t think we can extrapolate much from the footage, we don’t really get any defining characteristics, except for the coloration of the fur.

    I would actually agree with you that it seems suspect that the video was actually filmed in the location it claims to be.

    The Brown Bear population on Van Isle is mostly concentrated in the north eastern section of the island. A brown bear sighting / footage that far south would garner much more attention one would think.

    I could believe, this one could be a guy in a suit, with shoulder pads on, seems far too short to be that wide unless it was a bear on all fours or in fact a sasquatch.

    ^ Knobby nailed it, that is a common coloration of Brown Bear, especially with the Brown Bear on Van Isle, also, there are no Gorilla Sanctuaries on Vancouver Island.

    Very interesting footage nonetheless, seeing a brown bear this far south would be quite the sight.
